Leatherworking supplies good gear for druids, hunters, rogues and shaman. Maybe it's just your realm economy?

You get the starter leg armors for cat. at around 460 or so if I remember right. And the higher ones at 500 or so.
I'm mostly skilling mine up right now on my hunter. I keep want I can use and any leather armor I'll save for my driud. I have a 2 48hour post rule if it doesn't sell by then is ether gets Guild Vaulted or Disenchanted. (sometimes both)
Its going to be pretty much the same as it was for wrath. Leg Armors sell good. If it doesn't sell then try again people are half way in most cases to having bis gear for raiding or are very close. The tank cloak's sell good but the agility cloaks can be very hit or miss. The King's Drums from wrath still sell good and are still useful for the 4% stats.
But this is my server. Servers are very hit and miss so its hard to point you on the right path. And if your on a server like the O.P. stated with alot of Leatherworks then it can be hard to make money with them being around. If all easy fails sell the leather.

LW are ok, not top 3 crafting skill but not the worst.
Engineering are by far the least usuful crafting skill and have been so since launch. I really like the idea of Engineering and keep leveling up toons with it just to wake up at max skill level and realise how totaly worthless skill it is and drop it for something else. Favored craft combos for me are JC/ench. or LW/JC.
I don't understand why blizz put Engineering in the game and never gives it any attention. It seem just they just loves to hate it.

Content 525 LW here. I've been making and selling
some
really
nice
stuff
on the AH lately for great money.
I'm selling the 359 epic belts for 10-13k and the tunics for 14-15k. In fact, selling one belt funded me in 0-525 in engineering with about 3k to spare.
If Blizz stays with the same format as previously, then better patterns will become available with ongoing raid content. Good stuff!

Do you have vendors like BS has where you can't train unless you buy? If not then may be your economy. I was able to sell pvp gear for 85 for 1.8kG and thanks to 1 person who doesn't know you don't undercut the market by 700G I make far less profit. You could be like me and have someone drop your market by 700G. Our economy is coming up..hope yours will too..Boulderfist-US For The Horde!
