It does exactly what you just described.
That's literally it.
Sometimes I'll pop into it when I'm messing with a friend in Org or whatever while waiting for a queue, but other than that, nothing.
Doesn't even really help you solo old world instances because now with HP and damage where it's at, it's probably easier to just steamroll through it.

It makes you feel pretty and cements our place as having the worst utility in game.

From a pure PVE point of view is
almost
completely useless. Ys, you can find creative ways to use it of course... but considring that it's supposed to be our "high-end" ability (level 85) it's really sad. Also, it's not like you see in some Youtube videos (probably from beta): if you walk OVER mobs, they aggro you.
I would see
some
benefint if we could get it while leveling, maybe.

I've found it pretty useful when dealing with ranged mobs. The hunter mobs in Throne of the Tides for example. When you try to trap one of them, the rest shoots arrows at you, insta killing you. Trap one while camo is active and they can't shoot you, so they'll run into melee range where the tank can easily pick them up.

Meh... Droodz get a roar that makes everyone move faster and can %^&* out mushrooms that only do marginal damage and only if they are all detonated at once and can only use them in caster/moonkin form.... not all classes got spiffy new stuffs for Cata. Deal with it.

Well, Camouflage against mobs is treated as Rogue stealth. And yes, stealthed Rogues walking too close to a mob breaks it. Surprising, I know.
I agree with the second part.
E: In fact, hell, all our post-80 abilities should be gotten WAY earlier. I swear to god.

The roar kicks ass. You have no idea.
The Mushrooms are better than Hunter Traps by a long shot. You thought your Mushrooms were bad? Try using Hunter Traps. It has potent use and creative (mostly Balance Druids) will find excellent use out of it. It hurts &*!@ and snares, it's not as bad as Camo.
I marvel at the "ooh, you can use it in <one limited encounter or zone>!".
So we got a replacement for one shot (that doesn't deal more damage), a new aspect (which is good, if they just fix the damn bug/feature about turning the character when shooting Cobra/Steady Shot), and an ability that is useful in less than 1% of the game content.
My cute little mage on the other hand got an AoE freezing trap that keeps trapping for 12 second in a 10 yard radius and barely got longer arm time than Freezing Trap, an instant cast DoT that doesn't even require a target, and to top it off, she got Time Warp.
Why am I getting the feeling that hunters drew a very short stick?
Most mages are arguing that Ancient Hysteria is the Hunter's best thing they got in Cataclysm, and they're angry because they have to "use a spell slot" so to speak (i.e. give up a potentially different level 85 ability) for another Bloodlust, while Hunters got it for "free" (as in, we got it and got really "!@#$ty" abilities that should be gotten at level 20 and not 80+)

Line of sight?
I use it all the time in dungeons when placing traps.
Not that I need it, I could place the traps quite fine without the camouflage, but then at least I get to use the ability, and it looks pretty.
Scatter Trap is more reliable =D.

Tried going Sethekk Halls heroic (for Anzu mount) in full Camo... but some guards still aggro you even if you try to walk as far as you can from them.
Annoying as hell, considering that I am 85 and they are 70
>:-(

Maybe if they hadn't removed the bonus damage it would be alright, maybe a midfight FD/Camo to pop a shot. Nope, useless.
Except you couldn't do that on boss fights. Feigning Death doesn't remove you from combat until everyone is dead.

Camoflage IS NOT treated as stealth if moveing it is ONLY when standing still it is just slightly lesser aggro range but its poss to see it
what i use it for is the look and using it when traping to have the lower aggro range just in case.
