The tens of thousands come from getting involved in the L&RP threads and the Forum Games threads. At their worst they're easy +1s.
In my case it's probably having been around when the class forums were super busy (2009-2010).

Why did Blizzard remove all the class quests again?

Probably the WoW team isn't as big as before. Or with the best employees.

Quite early on Blizzard noticed that they do the most work for the fewest people. Back in those days it was making raid content that only 1% of the player-base every saw (original Naxx) but once they'd identified that as a point of concern or at least of inefficiency they have consistently made choices that put that back in balance by either making sure more people can see the content (easier access to raids > LFR) or by spending less time on things that only sections of the player-base see.
The loss of class quests is a victim of the latter and happened mostly in the Cata revamp of 1-60 content.
I can't help but see the logic in Blizzard's choices but I agree that something is lost when these sorts of things go away and actually each player in an MMO wants to feel a little bit unique even if it's only illusory.
I guess some people know (because I keep going on about it) but I've moved over to SW:ToR and there's such a strong focus on class specific content and personal choices that affect outcomes that it may be something that people will enjoy if they are really missing that feature in WoW.
For example in my story line I took out the leader of a cult and was given various options like killing the leader and dissolving the cult. I chose to keep the leader alive but make him run the cult in worship of
me
! ^_^
Ever since that decision I get sent tributes in the mail and later in the story this decision has become important - though I won't spoil it any further.

The class quests were amazing.
Felhunter, Voidwalker, Succubus now you just learn them with no knowledge of where they come from.

Hunter's Azshara class quest made me want to shoot my foot...=(

Aww man I'm so freaking lucky!
I managed to get both Cunning of the Cruel (2 weeks ago) and now I got Will of the Unbinding!
The only nice things missing are the pieces for the 4 piece!
edit: Just adding a piece of worry to this overly happy post, I've noticed that the buff for the trinket only applies on cast, so during execute phases where we only re-cast Haunt (8 seconds cooldown + travel time vs 10 second trinket buff), I could see this dropping. Unless we keep remembering to re-cast drain soul so it refreshes itself before it ends.

The Staff, both trinkets dropped today.
Lost everything.
RNG hates me. :(

My condolences, all of they are epically awesome :(
Btw, a little update on the execute phase use of the Will of the Unbinding, I attempted to see what would happen with the buff if I let it stay without having to re-cast Drain Soul, the thing turns out well really.
You don't actually wait for Haunt to hit and recover your stack (it does by a very few margin after testing at max range, latency might screw this up), so long as you re-use Drain Soul right after casting Haunt, you will still have 2 to 3 seconds of the buff up, so there's no worry about it falling off during executes :)

Little question, on fights like Ultraxion, is it worth for us to hard re-summon the Felguard? I know its faster to cast with master demonologist but, even the 4 seconds of cast feels kinda wasted.
You guys think its worth doing?

Since I haven't been here awhile, wanted to just respond to this. Most of it is L+RP. In fact, there's only a couple existing people who exclusively farm Forum Games, yet only one or two that have the high "tens of thousands" post count you're talking about =)

When I read it again my comment sounds more dismissive than I'd intended at the time. At their
worst
they can be that but I understand there's far more good interaction going on than that, even in Forum Games.

Well that and/or the fact L+RP's userbase is actually pretty small and tight-knit.

I've added 4.3 updates to my Warlock Guide.
I'm not playing but I guess I'm aware of most of the changes and nobody's made a new one yet >.<
Anyway, please let me know if I've still got any misinformation in there (and please someone make a nice new one! You're welcome to any/all of the current one you want).
