Nope.
Also: I wonder what would happen if you got flamethrower and torched the bats when the Dreadlord dies =P

Eh, I see the San'layn as the vampires. Dreadlords may be vampiric, but they don't seem like vampires too much now.Eh, they seem to be based on vampires from what I've seen. Some of them even got appropriate accents, iirc.

Dozen of different types of Vampires out there(and you should know that Funden, reading the Dresden Files after all); the Dreadlords fall under several of the types, as does the San'layn...and Blood Death Knights to a point as well heh.

They seemed to be vampires back in W3, but now they just seem to be sinister tacticians. They lack the atmoshpere. Sure they got bats and the like, but they're missing the whole vampire feel. They leave the vampiryness to the San'layn now.

Aye, I was just thinking that the Dreadlords seem to be like the Black Court, with their undead-ness (since they pretty much led the Scourge), and their proficiency with magic.

Maybe that would work.
Also, Eligor Dawnbringer says (after you kill Balnazzar) that he will be back with both his brothers so, for all we know, Detheroc is still "alive"

Speaking of Undead themed dungeons,
this
had a little too many undead for my liking. I know there's Onyxia herself, but also, look at all the flaming bone constructs. While I wouldn't put Necromancy above the Twilight Hammer and Black Dragonflight (Cult of the Damned needed a new spot to be emo in?), it's unsettling at most.

Why not? Zombie Apocalypse is a common theme. The Twilight;s Hammer will use anything to destroy the world, and the Black Flight probably just doesn't care.

Necromancy is everywhere, and both Nefarian and Onyxia are zombie dragons.

Really? I knew Onyxia, but I thought Nefarian was just retconned out of Bwl. I think Onyxia breaks the new record on Setbacks. Speaking of Undead themed dungeons,

I said I wouldn't put it above them as in I believe they'd use it. It's just unsettling is all. Anyone remember that fire Marrowgar from the early leaks? That got me kinda queezy. I know everyone uses necromancy, but giant abominations and generally large-scale projects involving fusing a lot of stuff together is kind of LK trademarked.

They don't, once your character completes the battle for Undercity, the dialogue will change. Before that, for your character, Varimathras is not defeated just yet.

Onyxia has no setbacks... at all? I don't call being resurrected as undead a setback, and the revamp last year was not something to do with lore but just something they did to celebrate the 5-year anniversary.
Well, her being resurrected is about as setback as Kael'thas's, and her being brought back for the Five year anniversary is just as much a setback as Naxxaramas in it's entirety. It's basically, Blizz will not get rid of these dragon's. It's really kind of sad... The only time I wouldn't tell Blizzard to put less emphasis on dragon dungeons (Well, that's not gonna be possible for Cata) would be Malygos, where they needed a $%^&LOAD more. Stupid gimmick fight.

Technically, both Nef and Ony are set backs, as they are both back as the zombie dragons in the new raid connected to Blackwing Lair(forget if it's the Descent or not).

It wasn't Arthas either; Matthias was meant to be all that was left of Arthas at the end, and when the Lich King let it die, that's why Ner'zhul was happy. When the King killed Ner'zhul, he absorbed him fully into the fusion being.
As for Bolvar; Setback boss, if Blizzard needs one. Technically, Bolvar should be much weaker then the Lich King, as he only has the helm and not the Armour of the Damned or Frostmourne....so how he's able to control the entire Scourge, who knows....

It's the whole reason he exists....No it's not. To just do a WotLK 2.0 expansion would be retarded. If Bolvar is used, it will be in a different role than the Lich King has been in the past. I imagine that he'll have some kind of "
Gondor Calls for Aid
" type thing, perhaps with a bit of
Awakening the Sleeping Giant
.
No matter what Blizzard is planning, you don't know it, I don't know it, and you shouldn't state it as fact.
You
suspect
that he is a setback boss.
I
suspect
that he will be used in a more creative manner. Neither of us knows who is right, and neither of us will until they actually use him.

I'm sorry, but they pulled this 'There must always be a Lich King' thing out of nowhere, flying against the idea of the established lore; the Lich King was weakening, and his Scourge forces were breaking free of their mind control(you know...the Forsaken), and suddenly, it's been shifted to "Oh crap! If the King is gone, the Scourge goes wild!"....which would be a threat if it had been the Scourge from the start of Vanilla; by the ending of Wrath, we had wiped out most of them, and yes, new recruits were being raised up in the Citadel, but I doubt a few thousand would be enough to obliterate the combined might of the Alliance, the Horde, and all the Neutrals...especially with Fordring there; he could just stand at the gates and as the Scourge poured out, swung the Ashbringer and wiped them out.
Blizzard dropped the ball for the end of Wrath; gave us a horrible set back set up, rather then ending the actual character...and turned the Lich King from a threat into a massive joke. Sorry, but I'm still seeing Bolvar as 2.0 for the Scourge at some point, and not as some redeemed character.
