I can only hink of one book I read which had even one, and he was masquerading as an Eldar.
Was that the Grey Knights book?

Yeah. Didn't enjoy it particularly though. Took the Grim Darkness to an absurd level, though I suppose anything involving a chaos world would. The fact that a layer of the planet was made of corpses was what did it for me, I just couldn't take it seriously after that.

Yup. The first Grey Knights was cool, so was the second. The third was like: lolwut.

What was really odd is that I don't even generally read space marine books. Usually I only read the Imperial guard ones as I find it hard to be interested in many of the other factions novels. Tried reading the first Sigmar book but, again, started finding it boring as the plot was painfully transparent and the fact that he would become a god seemed to give the author some bad ideas about how to write him.

Have you read Titanicus? It's a Dan Abnett book, and honestly one of my favorite 40k novels out there.

That's the one about the Titans isn't it? I noticed it but wasn't sure, seeing as the last one I read in the same vein -
Gunheads
about the Leman Russ drivers turned - out to be such a disappointment.

Yeah, it is. And it's awesome.

Less Leman Russ drivers and more actual Leman Russ, if you ask me. I mean, the guy outdrank and outate GEoM.

I'll have to look into it then. I'm overloaded right now with Dostoyevsky and D!ckens so it might be a while.
