Does the Orc racial effect the damage output from Bloodworms or Rune Weapon or are they not counted as pets?

Bloodworms are guardians; so is the Rune Weapon.

Sorry if this has already been covered on here somewhere but I'm still trying to get my head around this lack of defence on gear.
Do I still need to aim for a certain amount of total avoidance or can I just go ahead and runeforge all of my gear, removing things like parry and dodge and converting most of it to mastery for a better effect?
If it's better to keep the dodge and parry then what level of total avoidance should I aim for by runeforging other stats?
Thanks in advance.

Icebound Fortitude -- Damage reduction changed from 30% to 20% (or 60% to 50% talented). Cooldown still 2 minutes. Duration still 12 seconds
All tanks have had a cd adjusted to make it exactly the same across the board, namely a 12 secs 50% damage reduction on a 2 min cd.
These abilities are Icebound Fortitude (as seen above), Guardian of Ancient Kings, Survival Instincts and Shield Wall.

This is a good guide, however, may I recommend putting somewhere that Parry and Dodge now have IDENTICAL diminishing returns now. Before 4.0.1, Parry suffered more from diminishing returns than dodge did. That is no longer the case.
I just want to throw that out there because if people have a ton of dodge, parry might be a better increase than it was in 3.3.5.
I might disagree with your "basic tanking spec" as I believe Scarlet Fever is worth more than Abomination's Might since way more classes bring the 10% buff than bring the debuff, but it still gets beginners going I suppose.

Very tiny correction to Pestilence Glyph: If you're running diseaseless, it has even lower value.
To the minor glyphs, I'd add a Raise Ally after all of them. Highly situational, however, but if you're running through 5men dungeons, it could be helpful.
Virulence 3/3
now
will be(shortly... we all hope) a 9% spell hit increase, so you only have your usual 8% melee to cover.
Some useful macros:
Focus Macro

Very important for almost every bossfight.
My eyes bleed... KEYBIND IT, don't waste your mouse clicks!

And a little clarification need, since it isn't written in the big red letters.
What is the current dodge/parry ration? I assume it's 1 from the wording of all the careful references in the original post, but I'd still like to have it cleared.
