The name
Straafer

Takenobo
Takenobo= Takeno (yes, the MtG Card) + obo from FFXI chocobos (friends used to tease me cause I got into the Chocobo Breeding thing heavily) = Takenobo. Takeno was taken cause I had made a trial account and couldn't be bothered trying to recover the account, so I just added the obo and voila!

I'm sure there already was such a thread, and I'm sure I even posted in it. Bah, to hell with that.
Yeah, pretty sure I've answered it before here too, but can't come up with it now.
After playing around with several other races, all of my toons are now Tauren or Draenei.
All of my Tauren have names from Lakota words. (Lakota is a Sioux dialect - Native American)
Matosawitko
(feral druid) - means "Crazy red bear". I have red hair IRL.
Mato
- bear,
sa
- red,
witko
- crazy
Wicasapa
(death knight) - means "Black man"
Wica
- man,
sapa
- black
Wisapa
(another death knight) - means "Black sun".
Wi
- sun,
sapa
- black
Kolaigmu
(hunter) - means "Lion friend".
Kola
- friend,
igmu
- lion or large cat. His pet,
Igmuzi
, means "yellow lion".
Igmu
- lion,
zi
- yellow
Keyatopa
(shaman) - means "Four turtles".
Keya
- turtle,
topa
- four
Napesapa
(warrior) - means "Black hand".
Nape
- hand,
sapa
- black
Istagi
(balance druid) - means "Brown eyes".
Ista
- eye,
gi
- brown
My Draenei names are just things that I thought sounded good.
Orahi
(death knight) - originally wanted Orani, but it was already taken
Nomaani
(mage) - liked the double-vowel idea that you see in a lot of Draenei names.

Agoraphobic
Agoraphobic, after Agoraphobic Nosebleed.
I also used Broad a lot, as its' pretty demeaning being killed by a female named Broad.

Mine are named for my love of Dvorak's 9th Symphony (From the New World).
Human Priest - Dvoraak
Human Warlock - Dvoraax

I copied my toon's name from a Korean song. Lame =(
And despite how simple it is, people still can't pronounce it correctly.

Troll Hunter - Wandarar: Playing around with the random name function, changed a few letters and it looked like a good hunter name.
Troll Warrior - Liston: Named after the boxer, Sonny Liston. A tough warrior name.
Tauren Druid - Lazerlulu: Pew Pew with my female cow-person.
Troll Mage - Fuego: Foreign (Spanish?) word for fire.
Troll Priest - Wololo: Named after the monks in Age of Empires. When you click them, they say "Wololo".
Troll Shaman - Rajaz: No reason for the name.
Note: I like trolls.
I will also make a Troll Warlock called Unas, named after an Egyptian King who, as told in folklore, slaughtered and consumed the gods.

Amheh: Warlock
The ancient Egyptian God Am-heh was a terrifying god of the netherworld whose name translates as "the devourer of millions". He was depicted as a man with the head of a ferocious hunting dog. Am-Heh lived on a lake of fire, and only Atum was able to repel him.
He is sometimes seen as an aspect of Ammit, the personification of divine retribution, as she had his name as an epithet. He has also been linked to the baboon god Babi (or Baba) because of their common interest in human flesh. Am-heh was not worshipped, he was
feared
.
