Here's to hoping that the Vial requires Alchemy 525. We have enough dragons flying around as is, heh.

That would be fairly meaningless in World of Crazy Mounts, don't you think?
Not really; people can pick up engineering and tailoring, learn the mounts, then drop it again. Sure they can never use the choppers or carpets again, but it still counts heh.

The only qualm I have with this item is the fact that it's the only 2-man flying mount available for players. The touring rocked does not count, as it is awarded from a payed service.
I don't care if alchemists get this, gratz to them I'd say, as long as other people can get a 2-man flier for gold/rep+gold like the mammoths or the bikes.

Im fairly certain this will not be the new Mechano-Hog. There is currently only 1 unknown item needed in crafting this, while the Mechano-Hog required several goldsink items.
That doesn't necessarily mean that it's not the new Mechano-Hog. From a gold sink point of view what matters is the total cost not the number of each component. Additionally it does have two potential gold sink components, the Pyrium-Laced Crystalline Vial is currently only used for the dragon so it could be a gold sink (the bike parts had vendor values significantly under their purchase price so the 12.5 sell price doesn't tell us much).
Personally I think it will be Alchemist only but I don't think we have enough info to conclusively say it isn't a new mechano-hog at this time.

It is Alchemy-Only. The Hot-Rod is the new Mechano-Hog. If you didn't realize this until now, I would have to host your brain.
And your evidence for this is what exactly? I have yet to see any evidence that would conclusively prove either one of them to be a Mechano-Hog style mount yet.
However if either of them is a Mechano-Hog style mount my bet would be on the Vial of the Sands and not the Hot Rod. Blizzard designs the various gold sink mounts (not just the Mechano-Hog but the various vendor ones as well) to be "cool" and reasonably distinctive from more pedestrian mounts as well as (for the higher value ones) providing some minor non-combat perks (the extra riders on the Mammoth and Hog). With the number of Hogs people already have and the proliferation of vehicle mounts for the Horde along with the ability to fly in Azeroth a car does not have a lot of draw as a gold sink mount. Conversely the ability to turn into a Dragon is definitely cool enough to qualify as a gold sink mount and the ability to carry someone else on a flying mount that is purchasable in game would certainly be unique.

Vial of the Sands
Read the tooltip.
I don't know what is that Hot-Road that you speak off, but
Vial of the Sands
is Alchemy only.
P.S: If you don't get it why is Alchemy only, read it till you understand.

No it's not Alchemy only it's Bind on Pickup, there is a subtle but important difference. The existing profession mounts are both BoP and have a profession requirement. This implies that they are not entirely done implementing the item. As someone noted earlier in the thread. at one point during the Wrath of the Lich King Beta the Mechano-Hog was also BoP. As I said above we have no evidence either way as to whether this will remain BoP and pick up an Alchemy requirement or become BoE. Personally I could see it going either way, the current mats "feel" a lot more like the hog than the profession specific mounts particularly since the missing ingredient could easily be some sort of gold sink.
In any case I was actually asking him for evidence as to the Mini-Hotrod being the 'Hog equivalent. Since we have even less info on it than the dragon speculation is even more pointless.
