Mentally ill people fighting each other because they don't share the same imaginary friend.
Truly shocking.
Anything that teaches people to not think, and "just believe" instead, is evil in my mind. Thus all religion is equally abhorrent.

Meh. I think atheists who think they'll die and turn to nothing are horrible, because they don't care what they do and have a lack of morals.

It's horrible. Burning the Qur'an? This ranks right up there with drowning your children because they were raped. I mean let's be realistic. This is a travesty. Humanity will never be the same. We should all drop what we are doing and discuss this NOW!
Sarcasm, muchly?
Instead of focusing on specifically the act of the burning, why not consider the general principles of religious / general tolerance?
I heard on radio that apparently, there's a Christian church that allowed the local Muslim community to celebrate Ramadan in their church. They've had a good rapport between the two religious communities for quite some time now. The pastor of the church made the comment that there is still a positive to be seen from the Qur'an burning issue - if it means that America unites up in opposition to the lack of tolerance and starts reinvigorating people to 'love thy neighbour', then it can still be a good thing.
We need more people like him in the world.

The only views that will be tolerated are the tolerant ones, because those are the ones we agree with.

Funny how Christianism and Islam descend from the same religious tree.
Really? Nothing I know of supports that statement. Unless "same religious tree" is a VERY broad term.
Actually, that "tree" is Judaism.
Evidence that Christianity descends from Judaism: The Old Testament, a compilation of Jewish history, teachings, philosophy, erotic poetry and genealogical trees.
Evidence that Islam descends from Judaism:
this list of prophets of Islam
, complete with citations of Qur'anic chapter and verse, is replete with names of Biblical significance.
A bit of education goes a long way.
Sorry, I forgot that Islam technically started with Ishmael (or at least with those descended from him), not Muhammad. One thing I find very interesting though is that there are multiple Prophets and Messengers in that list that are very specifically descendants of Isaac, not Ishmael. I'm surprised they're even allowed in their "religious lineage" since they're descendants of the "other son".

Edt: Then again he called it off and
now the pastor is going to talk to the man who proposed to build the center
..
Allegedly. The Christian has said before that he had negotiated with the man who's proposing to build the Islamic Community Center, which was later proved to be bull*!@#.
