I personally like how this system is going to make customization much better. If you don't like it, make a better MMO yourself and then see what kind of feedback you get. You'll see you can't please everyone. Some will like it, some will hate it. If you want to keep playing wow you'll just need to accept that fact.Don't let it ruin the fun from the game. I don't like everything that blizz does but I don't let it stop me from having fun which is what the game is about. Some people take the game way to serious sometimes.
So does it only modify a part of the stat or can you choose how much you want to lower a stat to raise another by the same amount. I can definitely see using this the most to drop hit ratings as people are always re-gemming to add/drop hit with new pieces of gear. But I really like this. Opens up a lot of possibility for not carrying as many alternate pieces of equipment, like for example my Ele/Resto shaman. Thank you Blizzard for finding more ways to conserve bag space!

Wonder if this would mean that a certain piece of gear could have multiple different stats to one another, resulting in ppl have the same gear but ultimately different stats on it! If that happened, a whole new meaning to gear farming haha
Are the NPCs just there for the duration of the Beta? Last time I checked, professions were going to be able to reforge their own class of armor pieces, with Engineers getting trinkets and Jewelers getting necks and rings. Is that still the goal for the retail of Cata, or is this new NPC system the way it's going to be?
good and bad imo, but it could make some interesting building ideas, maybe a prot pally def capped adding int for spellpower for more threat and those omg i have to heal myself times, if its still gonna work this way, i havent looked to deeply into it.same thing for druid tanks, i must say the possabilities are endless and it could be pretty cool. and i think now more chars will be able to use the same piece of gear because of this, or will be able to settle on a lower piece but make it the way they need to get past that hump and get a chance at what they really need. maybe this is a way of justifying the talent trees and not being able to customize the trees like we can now, only time will tell lol
So are we going to be able to add Mastery Rating to any item then?Because to me, it would seem the obvious best choice for any class, and I can foresee everyone reforging every item they can to Mastery Rating at lvl 85. An extra +32 Haste Rating is nothing compared to the added healing, mana regen, etc. gained from Mastery Rating.
Looks awesome!
Yeah got to say the only thing i see here is far less items not getting rolled on and left to rot in dungeons and far better way of life for those sham, Droods, and pallies lugging 3+ full gear sets.
I really don't like the idea of this. Being able to forge your own gear... No! It should be something that you need to farm for months just for those +10 crit that won't do any real difference in your DPS, just to be able to call yourself Epic! The old days. Vanilla. Love. <3
