Hi all.
Need help: how can I insert items (or other skills/spells etc) in my guide
without underlining
and with small picture toward of it, and when I mouseover this picture or item name, I can see tooltip of item\skill\spell.. And if the item is epic => the color of this is appropriate. ?
When I do this through tag,
I get this
(undeletable underlined and underline color not changable)
Enchant Weapon - Dancing Steel
This is what I want!
:)
Thx!

Hey Ult -
If you just use \
Enchant Weapon - Dancing Steel
instead of url=etc, the icon and rarity color will automatically show up (and no underlining!) like this:
Enchant Weapon - Dancing Steel
. Just a quick note about that - in the preview while you're editing your guide, you'll see (Item#74726} in yellow as if it's the link. Don't worry! On the live side of the guide (what your viewers see), it loads properly!
Also, with regards to your guide, you may want to use the \ and \ / \ tags to define your headings (h2) and subheadings (h3) - the table of contents (toc) will automatically compile from the tags in your guide! More info can be garnered on this if you check out
Guide Writing for Dummies
. You might even see other ways to spruce up your guide!
Edit: Just one quick note about the underline issue you were having before. If you put the color tags outside the url tags (ie. \\
random item\
\), you'll be able to change the underline as well as the text (
random item
). If the color tags are on the inside of the url tags, only the text will change color and the underline will stay yellow, which is what I presume you've been doing.

You can always make them as images and insert them as borderless images with a transparent background.
Haven't been able to find the font. Is there a chance you could perhaps write the words:
"Arcane Mage PvE Guide"
in the new header style, upload as an image to imageshack (or whereever), and provide me with a link for my upcoming guide?
Hope you can swing it. No rush as I still have a LOOOOOOOT of work to do :)

I'm sorry but I'm not able to help you with that. Does the specific font really matter? It's very easy to make up some images for your headings in a free art package like Paint.NET
All the best with it. I look forward to seeing what guides you make next!

Thank you for the Friz Quadrata reply, but I can't really get it to work. (Edit: I can download the font, but it's creatively I can't get it to work :) )
Have some issues with advanced usage of tables that I hope you can help me crack
This is Left #1
This is Right #1 + #2
This is Left #2 + #3
This should in theory be Right #3
What im going for should be:
------------
L#1 | R#1
------| R#2
L#2 |------
L#3 | R#3
------------
Edit (clarification): What im getting is just a standard table it seems with this code. However it is almost working in the guide by removing the 2nd rowspan; I then wind up with left side being ok, but R#3 winds up below the box (and where it should be, it is just empty).

Here's what you posted above in the code box. All I added was a couple of line breaks:
This is Left #1
This is Right #1
+ #2
This is Left #2
+ #3
This should in theory be Right #3
Your code works fine. (I also gave it a class=grid so that you can see the rows highlighted on mouse-over)

The thing is, that what should be R#3 pops up as a kind of L#5 instead.
You can see what I mean here:

Taking a look at what you've got it looks like you want:
Introduction <Image>
<Image> More Intro text
MAIN CONTENT
If that's the case then you're probably over-thinking things.
code
Introduction <Image>
<Image> More Intro text
MAIN CONTENT

Thats exactly what I want, but I want the horizontal lines to not be in one long line - its heavily overthinking - its one of those things I want to do, just to see if it can actuallly be done :)

In that case try rowspan=3 and allow an empty row for the overlap to occur:
Introduction
text
text
text
text
text <Image><end image>
<Big Image><end image>
More Intro text
text
text
text
text
text
MAIN CONTENT
code
Introduction
text
text
text
text
text <Image><end image>
<Big Image><end image>
More Intro text
text
text
text
text
text
MAIN CONTENT
The only thing is that it requires that the images be much larger than the text or it looks weird.(##RESPBREAK##)16##DELIM##asakawa##DELIM##

Yet another code problem bothering me now. I don't wanna post my code here, as I kind of wanna spring this on people, but perhaps you can look at my enchants-section?
http://www.wowhead.com/guide=edit&id=1525#gear-toc-enchants
I want to get rid of the extra blank lines that seem to be popping up from nowhere? Have I made a mistake somewhere?
If you can help me, please write it discreetly as I would like my design to be somewhat a secret :)

Hmm, blank lines? I'm not sure what you mean.
Feel free to email me (asakawa at wowhead dot com) so you can be more specific.
I see some that you may be talking about that are due to table cells sharing a row so when one gets bigger to accommodate content, another gets bigger but only has blank space. Is that what you mean perhaps?

Problem solved - with all the crap I have put in, there is no longer an issue.

I haven't added anything to the main page in a long time but I added "upgd=1|2" to the links section.
