3. Joining up with the Orc clan that held captivate and raped the red dragon flight. The Reds forgave the Horde for that..... or at least the Queen of Life did and she more or less speaks for them all.

hating the Alliance?
1.Forsaken rezzing dead humans for their evil lich queen.
2. Attacking kids and the elderly in Gilneas.
3. Joining up with the Orc clan that held captivate and raped the red dragon flight.
4.Going back to the Dalaran crater to kill more mages post Wotlk.
5. Forsaken using their evil plague to destroy innocent lives in SouthShore.
6. Garrosh and his demon orcs killing hundreds of Druids in stonetalon.
I'm sure I have missed more. So,what reasons do the poor and """""""""""""oppressed""""""""""""" Horde have to hate the Alliance?"A human killed my mate! I must avenge her!"
"My father died in the internment camps! Death to the humans!"
"Stormwind and the Dwarves did nothing when the Scourge destroyed our Kingdom! Let's show them what having your kingdom sacked and your family killed feels like!"
The Horde has a lot of reasons, if you wanna look for them.
Unfortunately, it seem most of it is just fueled by "I wanna kill something!"
Honestly, I wanna see some more atrocities on the part of the Alliance. The Horde has been doing all sorts of terrible stuff, and I think it's only fair that the Alliance gets its share of jerks (along the lines of Justin Bartlett). Benedictus' betrayal is a good start.

Idk if the Alliance really needs it. Some players are just drawn to the warband, broken nature of the Horde, whereas others prefer the valiant, democratic nature of the Alliance. I actually prefer the former, but again, it's a preference. Making both factions even by saying "they're all evil" would remove the uniqueness that draws some players to said faction.Yeah, but the Horde I fell in love with in Lord of the Clans and Warcraft 3 wasn't like the Horde we're seeing in Cataclysm. It's not fair that Blizzard can stomp all over the Horde I love while leaving the Alliance spotlessly whitewashed. They need some conflict too.

Have you ever read anything about the Peloponnesian War -- the war between the Athenians and the Spartans that took place after the events in that awful, terrible movie
300
?
The Athenian leader Pericles gave a sanctimonious speech that basically boiled down to "We're so great because we're a democracy that we totally have the right to oppress our Greek brethren and tell then what to do!" The Spartans responded by saying "Even though we're violent and vicious (and depend on slaves), our absolute commitment to freedom (for the rich and privileged) and honor compels us to stop you."
That's what I think of whenever I hear someone say "For the Alliance!"/"For the Horde!"

One thing I have yet to find out, why are Tauren evil? They are a peace loving race so why are they considered evil? I know they joined the Horde, because the Thrall and Orcs/Trolls saved them from the centaur, but is that why they are evil?
Perhaps this should be moved to Lore and RP
wait, what?
Horde isn't and taurens are >THE< most 'good" nation from thereWell, I think the Draenei are more 'good' than the Tauren (especially when you consider that up until Cataclysm, the Grimtotems were a part of the Horde).
But Tauren make a close second.

Never really understood that part. Magatha and some four or so of her lackeys were part of the Horde while the rest of them were enemies. We fought against them in Thousand Needles and Stonetalon as part of quests.
Always assumed Magatha was a Grimtotem traitor.

reasons that the horde has for hating the alliance? let's see........
1: they imprisoned the orcs for 20 years and treated them worst than dirt, beating killing slaving and humiliating them to the point that they were treated worst than cattle. one thing is that they do this to the orcs who participated in the first and second war, as they had it comming, but they did this too TO THE CHILDREN AND WOMEN WHO DID NOT PARTICIPATED TOO, EFECTIVELY SLAVING AN ENTIRE RACE DOWN TO THE LAST MAN WOMAN AND CHILD.
how about that sweet cheeks?
2: they neglected help to the kingdom of quel'talas as they were being butchered and killed, and once the scourge left quel'talas in ruins, not a single aid was given to the elves, ZERO resources were sent their way, when the elves out of pure good will offered their troops to the local alliance Grand Marshal, what does he do? trows them to the enemy, with no support so that they may die, and when they come back alive? imprisons the entire race and ORDERS THEM PURGED LIKE ANIMALS DOWN TO THE LAST MAN WOMAN AND CHILD.
how about that sweet cheeks?
3: Lots of Lordaeronian citizens were killed in the third war, and almost all of the dead were raised as undead for the scourge, when the lich king got weakened, they recovered their minds, they were free, and yet what was the reaction of every single human at the time? kill them all, scourge, forsaken, it makes no diference, all must die. put yourself in that position for a sec and tell me to my face that isn't messed up.
4: orcs after having attained their freedom, to avoid a conflict with the humans, travel to a distant continent, establish their own nation, and mind their own business, and what happens next? an admiral leads an invation against durotar and slaughters the citizens of Razor Hill for no reason whatsoever exept that HE HOLDS A GRUDGE OVER WHAT HAPPEND 20 YEARS AGO.
5: goblins after narrowly escaping their doomed island stumble across an alliance fleet who opens fire upon them, and sends troops to finish off the survivors.
6: unless you are mentally deficient, Garrosh didn't ordered the death of the people in stonetalon, that was the actions of Krom'gar acting alone and the second garrosh learned about it he didn't gave the general a medal, he executed him and disbanded his army.
7: special vainilla mention: the dwarves of Bael Modan, who expelled and killed an entire tauren tribe because they wanted to dig beneath their village, only one survivor managed to escape, the dwarve's justification was "they are only bull-men, who cares about their muddy village"
you know zurizen, for an alliance fan, u really have a nasty case of tunnel vision, my advice is to listen to jesus.
How can you say to your brother, "Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye," when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You
hypocrite
, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.
Luke Chapter 6 verse 42.
chew on that pl0x

And once again Rankkorr have spread his shiny pwn all over this thread.
in my oppinion that is of course
offtopic: for some reason, i would like to see Taurenmoo(fanboi of the Horde) and Zurizen(fanboi of the Alliance) in a thread trying to argue with each other, just to see who would end up acting outside fanboish aggresive first.
Post by
Adamsm
Taurenmoo doesn't post here anymore, because apparently, the official forums are better for him to say what he wants to say.....Read as, he can troll to his hearts content there and not be forced to take flak from people who actually know things, and show his views are not always right.

if that ever happens, the amount of flaming resulting from such a collition would look roughly like
this
let's pray it doesn't come to that.

also, on a separate note, I'm nominating this thread to be locked, it's like it's almost begging for a flame war, the whole point of this thread is nothing more than cause a pointless discussion and it's not even related to cataclysm.
vote YES for the lock-hammer.

I reported it as soon as it went up(no offense Zurizen, but these types of threads just descend into flame wars before too long).

I reported it as soon as it went up(no offense Zurizen, but these types of threads serve only 1 purpose and that is to ignite flamewars).
fixed it :P
and yhea, my take on this topic (if it can be called that way) is that BOTH factions have lots of reasons to hate each other, simple as that, no faction is the saint here.
on Zurizen's eyes however, Alliance=servants of god. Horde=spawns of Satan.
