I'll try to be realistic here. My list on items I would grab
before
leaving my house.
Rope. Rope are incredibly useful if you're skilled with it and you're creative.
All my survival gear, and above all, clothes for being outside for weeks. Raincoat especially. Besides, coat makes badass.
Food and water, preferring tin cans for obvious reasons.
Knives, of course, and an axe. The two most useful tools while in a forest, great for other places.
Crowbar. Great tool in an urban environment. Also good for smacking things.
Duct tape and electrical tape.
Some sort of fuel. Fire is survival in many cases, unless it attracts zombies. Then it's a weapon.

I have decided that if my boatplan fails I would carry two machineguns, two katanas and a few handgrenades. And I would travel by bike. Bring it on, zombies.

Yeah, unless you live in China or Japan, the chance of a getting a real blade and not a replica... low to non-existent. A replica sword would only last a few hits more then likely before it shattered on the zombies bones. The machine guns, while they spray bullets, would be a waste Elura; unless you get lucky, you'll just be hitting them in the chest or hips, maybe tearing it half... but then it would just keep crawling towards you heh.
I would die. I have neither the physical endurance or the mental faculties to survive any type of apocalypse, and the sad truth is that most people are lacking in one or the other. It truly would be survival of the fittest, in more ways than one.
A lot of people would probably end up suiciding in the event of a zombie apocalypse, as they just give up life and let the zed's eat them.

If we're talking about sprinters, then my plan has pretty much already been listed by the realistic thinkers before me.
However, if it's shamblers we're talking about, I'll be acquiring a few hundred gallons of diesel fuel, and will then take my company dump-truck out for a zombie-killing joyride. They're shamblers, they won't get you if you're not functionally retarded.

Well, I am a rogue... I'd just spec into stealth and sneak my way out of trouble.
Still, shame
Vanish
is bugged. :\

@MyTie. I've had Blackcurrant, Whiskey, Rum and chocolate cheesecake. I've also had cheesecake brownies which essentially is cheesecake but uses a brownie mix base rather than a biscuit base.
I don't like blackcurrant.
