Liking the melodic metal Kaytoni.
I remembered seeing Tim'm in Beyond Beats and Rhymes but didn't check out any of his music until today and I really liked

I've been on a Jpop binge the last few days. Here are a few songs that I could actually find on Youtube...most of my favorites were actually missing :(
Nami Tamaki - Realize
Ayumi Hamasaki - Evolution
Hikaru Utada - Automatic
Namie Amuro - Say the Word
I have a secret soft spot for J-pop and K-pop. KARA is Japanese but they're my guilty pleasure. Perfume is a Japanese group, and they are amazing. YouTube them! I can't post links. Haha.
Outside of J-pop, I love rock music. My favorite bands are the Mars Volta, At the Drive-In, Led Zeppelin, and Modest Mouse. Pretty much anything progressive/post-harcore (but intelligent) is awesome in my book. And I love Modest Mouse for both their amazing music and lyrics.

I've never listened to KARA or Perfume. I'll have to check them out.
I tend to listen to more metal or electronica (trance and hardstyle mostly). I really enjoyed The Mars Volta's first CD, not so much the stuff since. As far as rock goes, I still listen to a lot of my favs from the 90s, but as far as newer stuff, it's mostly Fair to Midland, dredg, or Lostprophets' first couple CDs.
Yes! Deloused is my favorite album of all time. Their stuff since hasn't been so great, but I've heard a few tracks off the new album and it's promising. Possibly their best stuff since Deloused.
And I remember lostprophets...they had that one song, "Last Train Home"? That's them? I loved that song. Don't remember anything else off that album though.
And if you like electronica and J-pop, I think you'll seriously dig Perfume.

Ohh, we're talking about TMV? Bedlam is almost as good as Deloused imo and the new album will be awesome
Bedlam was definitely great, but the new album will be better! I'm also a giant TMV/ATDI fangirl (hah, for lack of a better term) so I really love *everything* they do, but I'm willing to admit when it's subpar compared to their other works. The Malkin Jewel is an amazing track though, and if it's representative of the rest of the album, it's going to be phenomenal. I don't know if you like Tom Waits at all, but Cedric's vocals were heavily influenced by him on this track, imo.
And yeah, Lostprophets are the ones who did Last Train Home. Here's a few of my fav songs by them so you can kinda hear the range of stuff they do.

Thanks! I'll check them out.

Muse is awesome, but their last album...The Resistance? I think that's what it was called? Hated it. I don't know why, I listened to it once and started laughing. I'm kind of pretentious about music though. :\ Everything prior to that was amazing.

That's because it wasn't very good =P
When you compare the Resistance with Origin of Symmetry or Absolution, you quickly realize that their musicality has devolved significantly. I'm not going to knock Black Holes and Revelations, because while it was definitely not as good as the other two (YMMV on that, ofc), it was just so
varied
that it became immediately obvious that they were just experimenting with different musical styles.
Resistance, though, sounds like it was made to be put in movies/commercials and to sell.

I agree 150%, it was way too commercialized. And they were trying very hard to be something they're not...like Queen, or...I don't know. It was sad. Although I love Origin of Symmetry and Absolution...I do have a soft spot in my heart for Black Holes and Revelations, if only for songs like Knights of Cydonia, and track #9 (don't remember the name, but it starts with just vocals and an acoustic guitar.)

City of Delusion? I love that track ^^
I also have a soft spot for it, since it was the album that introduced me to Muse.
