9 hours of tennis.
I would have died at 5 hours

What are your thoughts? Should they call an end to this and make them play a tie-break? Is the no tie-break rule doomed after this year's tournament is over?
Make them play it out. One of them is going to give up eventually. I'm just curious what happens when it clashes with their scheduled second round match.
None of the majors have fifth set tiebreaks, as far as I knew. No reason to change it just because of one random match.

Neither of these guys are good enough to win the tournament, unfortunately for them. Endurance in bundles, but they'd get their serves ripped apart by the better players. Absolutely no disrespect to the marathon effort that they're putting in, but you've had people win Wimbledon with less court time in the entire tournament than they've had in this one match!
I'm hoping that if it does end quickly today, that the loser doesn't feel bitter about the enforced break - once you're in the zone like they would've been, it'd be hard to get back into the mindset.

70-68, that's freaking amazing.
Mahut really suffered out there - he actually probably played the better game, but Isner won the points when it was needed. Kudos to both of them.

So, yeah .. no surprise. He lost his second round match this morning: 6-0 6-3 6-2.
Unfortunate but yes, no surprise at all. Isner doesn't seem to care, though, which I can't blame him for either.
He didn't seem to care about
anything
, really. Neither in his match against Mahut.
Don't mind de Bakker winning though as he's from my country :D

Pity, but not unexpected.

Hewitt's out, being the disappointment for Australia that he's been for the last 8 years and counting. (Mind you, it was a pretty stiff run to the finish, would've been Djokovic, Rod&*!@, Federer, Nadal...)
Murray's pretty good, but his style doesn't perform well against the other big names. Djokovic always looks like he'll have a good chance, then fizzles when he gets close. I don't think either really have much chance against Federer / Nadal, unfortunately.

It's a shame that men's tennis is dominated by these two men.
