a friend of mine told me that blizz phased some low lvl zone's so lvl 85 cant see flagged lvl 25.
will this mean blizzard wil do this to all clasic zones of cataclysm?
it seems me a good idea since probablt some random lvl 85 hunter wil put on track humaniod and fly around looking for a easy kill

No. Some zones ARE phased, but due to quest lines, not to prevent ganking.
And for the record, a level 85 flying around looking for people to gank is no different than a level 80 running around looking for people to gank. I don't understand why people think flying mounts are going to change the way people gank.

Highly unlikely.
Depending on how progressed a player is in the story, it's possible they'll be occasionally shielded from ganking. However it's not a blanket phasing based on levels or whether or not your flagged.

There's already an end to most ganking. It's called a PvE server.
Any phasing done will be done for the purposes of quest integrity and level, not to prevent ganking.
As it is, I actually dislike some of the phasing technology, because it keeps me from assisting friends with quests if I happen to be ahead of them, or sometimes intentionally breaks some intended game mechanics (like the summoning stone outside ICC).

they said that there's gonna be a fix for that.
when you and your friends join a group, you will all be on the same phase.
so for placing a small example: the shadow vault in ICC.
you completed the chain, the place is now phased for you, but your friend hasn't completed it, so for him that place is under enemy control.
on cataclysm, if you and your friend join a group, both of you will be on the same phase, now, since you are AHEAD of him in the phasing, then your phasing won't be used, since he's behind you, his phase is the one used so while you are in party with him, the shadowvault will be under enemy control.
but what about multiphased zones? the kind that has like 4 diferent stages? easy, the one with the lowest phase is the one chosen.
the scarlet enclave has 4 phases
Phase A (in wich the DK's are atacking havenshire but not new avalon)
Phase B (in wich the sky is red, havenshire is in ruins and the DK's are atacking new avalon, this is the longest phase)
Phase C: in wich you use the frost dragon to decimate the elite troops in new avalon.
and Phase D: in wich you lead the assault on light's hope chapel.
let's say that you+your brother+your cousin are all playing DK's but are on diferent phases.
you are already on the last one, ready to finish the dk starting zone, but your brother is on phase B in wich he's asaulting new avalon on foot, and your cousin is on phase A cus he's just starting.
if you all 3 group togheter, then the phase chosen is the one futherst behind, aka the one of your cousin phase A, once your cousin finishes his quests, you all move to phase B, once that's done move to C, and once that's done move to D wich is where you are.
this will prevent the current limitations of phasing that prevent you from seeing your friends in phased zones if they haven't completed the quests you have.

as for the new zones, many of them will make use of heavy phasing (stonetalon being a big example) and not only NPC's phasing, actual TERRAIN PHASING.
to cite a small example, there's a night elven outpost in stonetalon, well after a certain quest is completed, the horde drop bombs on that base and decimate it to the ground, when that quest is completed, the base is gone, all you see is a big crater on the ground.
because of that ganking will be a bit more limited than today, as cataclysm will make heavy use of phasing and terrain phasing on all the new zones and the revamped old zones.
but only a bit more limited, phases are not extended to entire zones but to clusters of the zone, (if you haven't done the quest in shadow vault that allows you to use it, that doesn't mean you won't be able to see anyone in icecrown, you just won't be able to see anyone on the shadow vault, but that phasing is limited to that spot alone.
for this reason ganking will still be posible. besides you forget that outland has no phasing, and northrend has no phasing either xD
and even on old azeroth, the phasing while abundant isn't so big as to cover entire zones. (icecrown despite being the most phased zone in wow isn't COMPLETELY covered in phase, there's many areas that remain the same because they have no phasing at all.

i read somewhere that phasing was gonna let people with higher gear lvl's not see anyone with lower gear lvl's and vice versa....
just a newb question, but how is this phasing thing going to work? just for questing and parts of zones, or is it gonna cut people off from each other depending on how far along their progression in the game is all together?
Rankkor's post above already explained that, at least partially.
