Try running the installation as Administrator (right click > "Run as Administrator"). That usually solves most of it.

How do I run as Admin?
. . . (right click > "Run as Administrator") . . .
Right click your mouse on the icon
find the option in the popup menu that says "Run as Administrator"

Three possible sources of random corruption:
Failing RAM
Failing hard drive
Overheating (can produce the same effects as failing RAM)
SpeedFan
will allow you to check the last two (you can see all core temperatures on the Readings tab, and check the status of the hard drive on the SMART tab). Start with that since it's a simple Windows program.
If everything looks all right there, then download an ISO of
Memtest86+
, burn it, and boot it. Two full cycles should reveal virtually any RAM issue.

Core temp seems alright.
Check the hard drive on the SMART tab in SpeedFan. Choose your hard drive in the Hard Disk select box and it will show you all the SMART metrics. Click "Perform an in-depth online analysis" to see how those values compare to normal.
The fact that you're getting random file errors really makes me suspect RAM or hard drive.
