The fact that you have to ask is a little frightening. Blizzard will never ask you to do this and you should never click on any link in any emails from anyone.

Real Blizzard Email do not have links in them.
Real Blizzard Email do not ask you to verify account information through a link.
Real Blizzard Email asks you to log into your account through battle.net account management, without a link.

First, I have all mail from *@blizzard.com set up to flag as "WoW - Blizz" in my Gmail. No flag means I don't even bother with it.
Second, here is an example of a legit email (as far as I've seen they have all been plain text to me. Images or formatting other than hyperlinks might be another red flag for phishing attempts. This example is an email change notification.
Hello <First Name>,
Blizzard Entertainment recently received a request to change the e-mail address used to log in to the Battle.net account with the username <Old Email>. The e-mail address <New Email, this will be censored> has been specified as the new username for this Battle.net account. An email has been sent to this new address containing a verification link to complete the change.
Once the new address has been verified, the e-mail address <Old Email> can no longer be used to log in to this Battle.net account or any World of Warcraft accounts merged with this Battle.net account.
If you did not initiate this request, please click here to contact the Blizzard Billing & Account Services team immediately.
Sincerely,
The Battle.net Account Team
Online Privacy Policy
The "click here" is a link to
http://www.battle.net/account/support/
.
Hope this proves useful to someone. As I said every email I've gotten from Blizzard has been plain text.

You shouldn't have fallen for it. The grammar and punctuation has "English is my second language" written all over it.

Could you possibly tell me how to do this? It seems very useful and like a great idea. :)

The real question is where they are getting your email addresses.

We have the evidence to prove that your account involved in the controversial game currency transaction
O_O
Was that the controversial game currency transaction of '04 or '05? Cuz I was a part of both. The scribes will now immortalize my name! The Great Arkayn, game currency transactionalist!
