Dont blame Blizzard. Blame yourself. You are the one that failed in your account security.
Exactly. I understand OP is upset; I would be too. But there's that whole cycle of emotions to be dealt with:
Shock
Denial
Anger
Rationalization
Depression
Acceptance
Assimilation
Once OP's account is restored and secured, there will always be that lingering, painful reminder that no account is ever truly 100% secure...

Maybe it's 99.99%, but someone could
theoretically
guess your email, password, and authenticator code. It's not likely to happen, but it could.

True, but i've never been compromised. Ever... 5+ years and not one problem. Ya i get that occasional whisper and in game mail.... but i have never received a spoof email, or had my account compromised. So my experience shows that my account is 100% secure, until proven otherwise. Which then i will remedy the issue and be like, "oh well, it just a game"

Don't confuse 100% unhijacked with 100% secure. Think about it. If you put something valuable into a vault that has 100ft-thick steel walls, is it completely secure? No, because someone has the key to the lock. Even if everyone who knows the combination to a combination lock is killed before the combination can be passed on, the walls can still be melted through. Security mechanisms are put into place to make the things they protect
very time-consuming and/or difficult to gain access to
. If the point was to keep everyone out of the vault, then it would be dropped into the deepest ocean or hurled into space. But what good does that do? Then the valuables are lost forever! Exactly. There must be a way to retrieve what is being protected, therefore there MUST be a weakness in every security system. If getting through that weakness takes a very long time or is very frustrating, then anyone trying to breach the system with malicious intent will likely move on to a softer target.
You've done well to protect your account for five years. You will probably never lose access to it if you continue doing what you're doing, but there is always that one in umpteen billion chance that someone can guess your email, password, and authenticator code. 100%? No. 99.999~% I'll give you. And can we please avoid the 0.999~ = 1 debate? There will always be that iota of a chance.
