You could've started raiding a long time ago, IMO. People get so hung up on gearscore nowadays they forget that they began raiding ICC with a 4.8.
I still don't have a single piece of t10...
The most important things are group makeup, player skill, and knowledge. If you know the fights, you'll do fine.

If you have the luxury of running with a nice guild then you won't have this issue. Unfortunately pugs judge a player solely on achievements and GS. When I first started out I was passed up for a lock with a greater GS then what I had. Someone happened to drop and I still got an invite, so I got to go anyways. I destroyed the lock on the meters and pointed it out to the raid leader midway through.
GS =/ skill but unfortunately it's the only
quick
way to measure a stranger's potential before seeing them in action. Sure you could inspect their gear, geming, talents, etc but it takes too long when you are LFM for 25 man pugs.

Coming from someone with 448 hit and the 245 hit trink equip that does not really mean much.
Yeah, I'm a total scrub. I just bought the MoS for the GS increase! Saving up for my Herkuml War Totem!
I will be dropping it once I find an upgrade in ToC or ICC. But really, thanks a bunch for letting me know I was over hit cap. That was a completely necessary comment. I TOTALLY didn't notice...

Ok, Rewind:

Thanks for taking the time to look at my armory page. I knew you cared about me.

Alright, just looking at your hunters gear you should be fine for ICC. However does anyone else think 3.5k is under performing for his gear? In all honest I would have expected a figure more in the 5-6k ballpark, maybe even pushing on 7k.
What i'm trying to say by the above is after tightening gems and enchants perhaps take a look at your "rotation" (god i dislike that word) and using stickies and our personal favorite here at wowhead
Female dwarf.com
to see if you can tighten it up a notch and squeeze some more from that gear.

Round these parts we call it a shot "priority." It fits the bill quite well.
But yes, 3.5k is BM like numbers, and not very good BM numbers @ that.
There could be some mechanics issues that need to be addressed.

Yea but i've found (though this is based on the paladin boards *shudder* when people ask for help they generally only know the horrible incorrect terminology and sometimes its easier to explain a concept in the horrible incorrect terminology just for the sake of communication.

You can pull greater than 3.5k with just volley spamming. You
are
volley spamming in the beginning right?
