Ahh, the good old days.
Started life as a Warrior. When I first finished Northshire Abby and got to the wall-gateway to leaving, I hesitated. And after that, I made my way to Goldshire... Sticking to the VERY MIDDLE OF THE ROAD.
Picked up Skinning and Herbing (felt proud when I found the Herb teacher on the path to Stormwind). Proceded to skin nearly everything I had killed. And forgot about herbing. For about 15 more levels. (and had to return to the lower areas to level it up). Skinning, however, was always the highest I could get it.
I had run-ins with Hogger. I wont deny it.
I was running through STV with a Hybrid spec, and 1Hand and Shield.
I did not know much/anything about gearing at this point. I generally wore anything that didnt look like caster gear.
I made the ON FOOT journey to Wetlands to get on the boat, from Ironforge.
I tried doing Gnomeregan at the levels it was made for (not the levels its really for, which im still convinced is something like 95-100).
Also tried returning to Gnomer a bit later, and a bit later. And soloing it a lot later. I STILL have Gnomer quest item hand-ins in my bank (I need to finish that place and hand them in, before they retake it)
After my first couple of runs to Scarlet Monastery, I decided that I was clever in noticing the WPL flight point was closer. So the next time I tried that path. The epic screaming as I ran from Red-level bears and spiders will never be forgotten.
Bit later in the game, The Guild Master of a guild my friend was in looked at my gear, and what taken aback. He proceded to give me a pair of Bracers as a (well needed) upgrade. (see the gearing comment above) With +5 Health!
And the fun days are sure to continue.

My first memory was when I started a male human warrior and had no clue what to do. I knew I had to attack monsters to level but some way I managed to kill some monsters my level, but ended up in the level 6-7 area when I was level 3. It was impossible for me to kill them :(
I also remember that I decided I wanted more bagspace, so I dropped (didn't know you could sell) everything I had and I was going to explore stuff. I ran to some level 10+ area (can't remember the name right now) and I was being attacked by mobs and screaming for help when 2 level 20's helped me out. I asked them if they could help me get back to my old place and they told me to use my hearthstone.... shouldn't have dropped that.

Only killing mobs at level 39 because I wanted to get my mount ASAP.
This was back when you had to get to level 40 for the the 60% mount.
