This post really belongs in the Rogue forum due to being specifically rogue but :P
For PvP as Sub you'll be opening with Ambush most of the time once you have it.
For finishers I suggest just trying to down your target so use Eviscerate as your finisher.
Slice and Dice is nice but every second you save finishing your target is one less it can attack you back.
Sub is not very good at end game PvP mostly due to its reliance on cool downs is bigger than any other spec.
There are a few people that manage it very well but not very many yet.
It has become a little more viable since the recent buff received in 3.3.3.
That said the spec is quite fun and I've enjoyed it quite a bit in the 60's.
Personally I switched to a more traditional Assassination build so that I didn't essentially automatically lose if I was caught in the open with no way to get back into stealth.

PvP Spec = Mut/prep
I'll just assume that you never tried Sub.
YES !
Sub damage sucks bad on high armoured targets ( gotta hate mancleave and TSG ) and keeping wound can be a problem some times but let's take a look at all the advantages of sub:
- INSANE
ON DEMAND
BURST on low armored targets. You can unleash it at the perfect moment.
- Way higher mobility.
- Better combo points generation. Especially when doing arenas with another dps.
- Better CCs ( ex: ShD-Sap on a blind target )
So, conclusion ? SnD got a higher skill cap than envenom spam but it's viable and WAY MORE FUN.

I know they buffed dagger damage but I would still check into using a slower weapon when you're out of stealth. I use macros to switch between dagger and mace so my SS/GS/Hemo hit harder.
The higher you get the more you become reliant on cooldowns, and it really sucks sometimes without Cloak of Shadows or a pocket healer. Ambush scaling drops off relative to health pools as well so in my opinion you'll want a slower weapon for the main hand when you're out of stealth for better burst.

Out of stealth and shadowdance, your damage is pitiful, with daggers or with slower weapons. When you are not bursting, your job is to keep poisons up, CC, peel and lock down.
Don't waste CDs to equip a new set of weapon.

Only reason I brought it up is because he mentioned SS specifically. Being that he's level 16, it might make a difference until he gets Hemo. Then I'd say it's definitely pointless to switch like that. Seeing that he's got BOA though it's probably a moot point. Just throwing that out there.
