When Blizz starts selling Weapons and Armor then people can start crying but as Showusworgenfem said its something to show off on Krasus' Landing in Dalaran. Nothing more.
The idea of having a mount be available to buy and obtain in game isn't a good idea cause how will people know the difference? Getting it in game is much more honorable than buying it and have a Dev mail it to you.

I can't say how many times I've sat through ZG after ZG, or Strat after Strat, or (insert other mount-dropping instance), just trying to get the mount that has a tiny chance of dropping. I think this is a great addition. The only thing that I see as being a problem with it might be the achievement points it could earn you, but even that is a very small problem as achievement points don't really count for anything.
The more mounts they add to the store, the better, IMHO.

I always laugh when I see QQ about Blizz selling stuff like pets and mounts. You know why?
1. It doesn't change gameplay
2. Blizz has been doing this for years, with the TCG. People buy packs of the TCG, then when they find the spectral tiger mount, they put them up for $300+ on eBay. Blizz is just cutting out the middleman.
The one issue I find is with this mount in particular. It looks frakking awesome, more than the Invincible mount. So they'll have to charge an arm and a leg if they don't want everyone and their mother to have one of these.
TL;DR Don't complain about Blizz selling mounts, because they've been doing it for years.

I'm not interested in the mount or pet but if this game was their priority they would of included it in a dungeon and not on a website, prove that wrong.
Before I prove it wrong, the basis of the argument has to be sound. It's not - it's a non-sequitur. :P You say "If A, then B" without a line of logic connecting the two.
They provide plenty of in-game mounts; this is a single mount purchasable through the online store, compared to 4-6 months' worth of development on items that are available in-game to everyone (raids, new gear, etc.).
I'm not really sure why there's all this QQ about the virtual store. If they start selling armor that's better than what is attainable in-game, then I'll worry.
After all, this sort of transaction already existed, in a slightly less direct form - mounts from the TCG. Yes, they were more rare, but the fact is you were
still
paying real money for a virtual mount.

Don't they already sell mounts. I mean ding 20 go train go buy a mount...
The gold you use in game cost you real $ in playtime cost to earn....
So whats new.
I think the issue is with items that aren't available through in-game means. This mount won't be available in-game without an expenditure of actual money above and beyond the $15/month fee.
Regardless, as others have pointed out, this has existed for a long time, in the form of TCG mounts.
