Prayer of Mending or Earth Shield?

Quick mechanics question.
Hypothetical situation:
10 man raid, Resto Shaman in the group. I put Prayer of Mending on the tank, Shaman puts Earth Shield on the tank. The tank then gets hit for 10k. What heals first? Earth shield or my Prayer of mending?
Hopefully this is a straight forward answer, but I couldn't find it on the forums.

Not a clue...but does it really matter? Both charges will go off, and the only difference is how Recount, an addon completely independent of Blizzard, perceives the healing done.

Makes sense, after all P comes before E.
wait...
Seriously, I would guess that it depends on who buffs the tank first, if ProM was cast first, then it will probably tick first.

Regardless of how this works one of you would have wasted mana in an attempt to steal the others heal to get higher on recount. STUPID.

Not if you're in a PuG.
Someone's
gotta pull the big numbers so they get reinvited...

Whichever appears first in your combat log, I'd say.

I agree that it doesn't matter in terms of numbers, so long as the tank is alive at the end of the fight. I was more asking to see if it was a waste of mana/cooldown to cast PoM on the tank if a Shaman has Earth Shield on it already, and if it were better cast on either an off tank or someone else.
