I'm that tank that cues up for Occulus, then as soon as I get a group, yell "OH F*CK NOT THIS PLACE AGAIN!", then proceed to leave the group, and proceed to re-cue whenever possible.

This is the only thing I HATE about The Oculus, the people who outright REFUSE to try. If you don't count the times where people leave because they don't want to try, my success rate for Oculus is no higher or lower than every other heroic instance. Extra badges and free gems, yes please.

My favorite thing to do is RP in a random dungeon. You'll have anything from others playing along to some telling you to knock it off to others just leaving out of annoyance.
But do you do real RP or do you do annoying 'ye olde english' RP?
"Hark! A %t approaches! Assist me in vanquishing the foe!"
"Thy MP is too low!"

Why not just change the title of this topic to "hands up who's a twat"?

I cannot stand the ye olde english RP. I'm talking like:
"Warrior! This monster is attacking me! Draw its attention!" instead of "Hey tank, hold aggro better!"
Or, "May the Light heal your wounds, brave allies!" or, "My mana reserves are low. Let us rest a moment before we continue."
The really fun part is responding to non-RP. "What do you mean by aggro? Are my spells drawing too much attention? I'll be more discreet next time."
/facepalm
If that's what your definition of "ye olde english" is, I shudder to think what you actually call "ye old english", which would be Elizabethan (I think).
God forbid someone would want to immerse themselves in a fantasy world.
Although I admit that bringing it into a cross-server dungeon run is kinda stupid.
(And someone wouldn't actually say mana if they were RPing.)

Augh... That was his example of NOT using 'ye olde english'.
I have no idea why you wouldn't say 'mana' if you were RPing. NPCs in the game use the word all the time. It fits into the game world perfectly fine.
I don't, however, like the idea that if you were seriously RPing, you wouldn't talk just like a character from the game. Everyone has way better grammar (or at least tries) when they're RPing. Lots of NPCs have poor grammar or pronunciation.
I think the biggest mistake people make when RPing is making all their characters talk as if they were all old english lords or something. If NPCs don't even talk that way, why should you?
But this thread isn't really about RPing so I should probably stop.

Edit: @MischievousLoki, Lots of people just prefer thier RP characters to seem intelligent, I guess. My guild leader RP's as a tauren that hasn't spent a lot of time learning Orcish. So he's always talking with broken sentences, and poor grammar. He's fun.
My issue is with people who think that if you don't try to sound like that, you're not RPing 'right'. The vast number of people who jump all over your case for speaking plainly, while in character, really turned me off of RP servers.
I know there's plenty of guilds out there that are reasonable, I just never found one that was a good fit for me I guess.
