gear = 2.4 rep rewards or S1 this applies to both retadins and shockadins

What exactly "Wearing down with Light Flash" means? Hitting them for no dmg with a weapon and healing yourself with Light flash?
Here's a fun game to play against melee: Judge Light on your opponent, the use seal again. Chance to heal when you hit them, chance to heal when they hit you. Meanwhile, Holy Shield is giving them a good chance to take major damage on every swing, especially when you activate it at the same time redoubt procs (block% just went to 65-70). At this point, they're doing the work for you.
Don't forget that while all this is going on, they're still standing in that circle of hurting known as consecration, and they're taking hits from your weapon.
Casters still get the best of me, but I'm working on that...

chance to heal when they hit you
you have no clue how JoL works....
JoL is a fixed chance for you to restore HP when you hit them
SoL is a PPM restore HP when you hit them

Ah yes, I did read that wrong...Newb moment #173 this week. : )
But, is SoL (love that acronym) really a PPM? It says "chance" in the seal's description:
http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=27160
So, if I'm reading it correctly, using seal and judgement on the same enemy will increase my chances of getting hp back with every hit on them...Or is it a chance to heal with JoL and fixed amount (per minute) with the seal up?

hhmm I must have missed your post
the chance is determined by PPM

What i dont get is: It's supposed to work in inferior terms to other classes?
paladin skills are in no way inferior to other classes
it's just that paladin mechanics are completely unique (seal and judgement system) and that all skills have their limitations
ex. Shamans use the most mana per heal, but with chain heal, they make the most efficient raid healers
Paladins use the least mana per heal, but due to lack of group healing, they make the worst group healers
ex. Warriors make the best single target tanks (due to itemization, SBV giving threat) but they make the worst multi-mob tanks
Paladins make the best AoE tanks due to consecration, but they make the worst offtanks due to low base HP
ex. Rogues make the best DPS, but they suck at versatility, and their CC is only applicable out of combat.
Retribution paladins are the most gear dependent DPS and hecne low DPS for most encounters, but once they have good gear they can reach the top of the DPS chart

Draenei, all healers only have 1 school of healing spells so spell locking a healer is same either way
holy shock is an instant heal btw

Sorry, I've been busy.

Consecration with flash of light. Also striking with shock and SoR/SoV when possible. Just have to watch your hp as well as the mobs. I can tank all the guards on the flags in AV as well as a few horde with them. Just consecrate and FoL, and hope you don't have a mage follow you and CS u when you are low on hp, or you can't bubble. You have to refresh consecrate whenever needed, so you have to juggle a bit.
Response to dennis, yes, pvp healing is very hard as a pali. Use your judgement and keep the more useful, squishier dps alive. I use a lot of LOS tricks against locks and mages, but yes, bubble is the only real guarantee of being able to heal properly. Priests will dispell your bubble, and bubble is in the holy tree as well, so hope against those being used at the right times. =) Kicks, shield bashes, counter spells..... these are the main reason I HATE 5v5 healing. Pali's are, IMO, the worst for this. Priests, druids, and shams being the best for this. I've found, if you have a mage or disrupt able toon attacking you, take the beating and bubble when you need to. Don't try to squeeze in that last heal to save you. They will disrupt it and then it's over for you.

I'm really not whining here, i'm just trying to understand what role can i really fulfill and people will say "wow im happy we have a pala with us". Arena doesnt really count as an option here cause i dont have the time or the patience to look for a partner.
Um, actually, you are whining. Every class comes with inherent disadvantages, and if you can't get past them, then try another class until you find one you like. I've been in many situations where people said "wow, I'm glad we had (a paladin) with us." This usually occurs at least once per instance that I tank.
Do I wish I could do better in BGs or arena? Yes, I do. Would it be nice if the swings of my one-handed weapon actually generated damage? Yes it would be. Am I going to cry about it? No, I'm going to have fun playing the game until it's not fun anymore, and then maybe I'll try a different class.
