Well of course I judge other players but only on how well they are playing the toon in a group that I am in.
Play the toon you want. Make it look the way you'll enjoy staring at it going 1-80. Use /ignore on people who are clueless enough to make an issue of it. Have fun with the game.

Playing a female character doesn't make you a female anymore than playing a male draenei makes you a walking rectangle with a head that's too small or playing a male Blood Elf makes you a walking triangle with a head that's too big.

I have 4 main toons I play, 2 are male and 2 are female. Surprisingly I get "hit on" on my female troll shammy atleast once a week, I had a guy that also bothered me for a few days because I really didnt pay much attention to him and he would stop whispering after 1 or 2 times, then one time he asked if I wanted to meet him somewhere (I think somewhere in the barrens) I reply "Im a guy dude" never heard from him again

I currently play 2 characters. A male tauren warrior and a Male Orc DK. I really want to level a holy paladin however BEs make me sick. I haven't played an alliance character for any extended period of time so I figure I'll roll an Alliance Pally. Draenei seem like a really cool race because of the hit buff and they really look like they will give me the fantasy feel i love form the horde side.
I honestly dislike the sounds Draenei males make when they attack so my question is this. Do you judge people who play female characters who are males? Within guilds and PuG raids who use vent do you think they are weird for rolling a female character?
What are your thoughts?
No.

In every game Ive played where gender is chosen Ive always chose female charicters. the male charicters ive played I generally delete shortly after and reroll them into female. to me charicters are not and extension of yourself it just comes down to simple astetics I guess... id rather look at a cartoon of a woman than that of a man... honestly given you will spend 7 days leveling a charicter which would you look at if you dont view them as an icon of yourself?
Im very open about being a guy ( even when some retard is hitting on me in game.. ) so guildies never have issue or anything. ( Im very hetero, alpha male)

More or less, I consider gender choice less of a statement about which gender you want to play as and more of a statement about which gender you prefer to stare at for long periods of time.
I play in a guild with a fairly high female/male ratio with about 7 or 8 female raiders out of about 28 total, and now that I think about it, the majority of them play male toons. I know most of the paladins in my guild are female Blood Elves because of how male Blood Elves look. Other than that, I think it just varies from person to person. My main is a male Tauren, but the majority of my alts wind up being female Trolls. Or female Undead. Not sure why.
I guess I'm rambling. My point being, a male playing a female toon isn't indicative of anything about the player unless he's actively perpetrating that he's a female in real life. Then it's just creepy. I've run into several of those cases - in fact, a couple were recruits in my guild at one point.

I'm getting tired of seeing this topic come up every month or two.
Frankly, if you're a man, you play whatever the hell you want. Period.

I am a male and my main is a Female Orc Warlock.
To be honest, the female races are quite decent. I think female Taurens are pretty legit (not a fan of them in plate, but leather/mail is neat). Female Orcs look crazy cool, so long they don't have their cloak showing (unless they are wearing a shield, makes their ass look massive). Female Troll is another awesome one. I think female and male Undead are pretty much the exact same thing, no real opinion that.
I think a male rolling a female race is acceptable. A female rolling a male race is also acceptable. What I find unacceptable is when they try to play themselves off as the opposite gender. Seriously, I don't understand how it's a funny joke. I am not one of those players who go, "OH MY GOD, A GIRL!" when I hear a female voice in vent, but a lot of people are.

You just never play a male BE, NE, or spacegoat.
You also never play a female dwarf, orc (unless you're Hoodrch), or troll. (Undead is iffy)
Those are the rules that I have set up for everyone to see and abide by.
EVERYONE Follows your rules, its a boring a %^&*, see a bunch of female nelfs and humans and blood elfs (Although I agree with not being a blood elf male..) But I gotta say all of my new toons besides my druid are eather female dwarf or female undead, it feels nice to know that I'm 1% of the WoW population.
Plus its not like i'm having some sort of sexual fantasy about my wow toon so it dosent matter how ugly they are.

Let's put it simple. If you are to play your character through the 80 levels of World of Warcraft and then progress to get gear through hours and hours of playing either PvP or PvE. You'd probably, as a straight guy, want too look at something attractive. Such as a character representing the female gender.
Now, I'm not saying that all the females of the World of Warcraft are beautiful as a rose in a summer day. Oh no, certainly not. But is there a reason why dwarves and gnomes have pretty good racial abilities? To make up for their lack of looks? And is there a reason to why dwarves and gnomes does not have a unique class to their race?
Face it, night elves have druids for them selves and draenei have shamans for them selves. And all classes available to dwarves and gnomes can also be played as either a human, draenei or a night elf.
Finally, I'd like to answer to your question. Wether I judge people playing female characters. No, I don't, since me, myself and I have always played as a female night elf rogue, whom I for no reason I know of, gender switched to a male (?). Then I played as a human male death knight, with an Icelandic female name. Got a lot of whispers about that name, I sure did.
I can ad that my latest and probably last character is my draenei female warrior. I chose draenei firstly for the racial heal. I figured it could come in handy while leveling a warrior and combined with the healing of the herbalism treat, I could restore large amounts of health. But the chose of playing a draenei, was also based on looks and starting zone. I had never been to Azuremyst- and Bloodmyst Isle.
I would also like to ad that I do not, at this point play World of Warcraft. I have not played since the turn of 2010.
