688 AP
That's what you're getting from an Improved Blessing of Might.
That AP will give you more DPS than BoK will until you're up to about 2800 Strength before applying Blessing of Kings or something. (THIS NUMBER IS PULLED OUT OF MY ASS. I HONESTLY HAVEN'T DONE THE MATH.) Of course it "scales" better. AP just simply does more to your DPS until you're stupidly overgeared.
Tanks
Death Knight, Druid, Paladin, & Warrior
Blessing of Sanctuary > Blessing of Kings > Blessing of Might > Blessing of Wisdom
Physical DPS
Death Knight, Feral Druid, Hunter, Retribution Paladin, Enhancement Shaman, Rogue, Arms Warrior, & Fury Warrior
Blessing of Might > Blessing of Kings > Blessing of Sanctuary > Blessing of Wisdom
Casters
Balance Druid, Mage, Shadow Priest, Elemental Shaman, Warlock, Restoration Druid, Holy Paladin, Holy Priest, Discipline Priest, & Restoration Shaman
Blessing of Kings > Blessing of Wisdom > Blessing of Sanctuary > Blessing of Might
If you have any other approach to blessing, my god, what am I missing? If someone asks for another buff, then give it to them. If they don't know their class then well, I guess you could be a big meanie and tell them they're wrong. This is how you buff to get the most out of a role. I don't care if the Holy Priest asks for Might. We're not going to kill the boss any faster thanks to his 87 DPS weapon swings, but he's happy, and he's not killing me. Except I might laugh at him for the whole run.

Ok well I fully geared with EoT gear now apart from my boots. All of my gear is littered with + 20 STR gems as well.
Ive tried applying BoK and BoM and BoM means my damage and attack power rating go up more when I use BoK, this is my point.
I think its because scaling all of my STR means more attack power than just applying the + attack power BoM
Try it again. Go ingame and try it, because you misread your own character sheet. You're missing something here: It's not possible for you to have enough Strength for Kings to outclass Might even if you're actually in BiS gear.
If the question is this
Q: "Is it worth it to put 2/2 points into Improved Blessing of Might?"
A: "Yes. The alternative is Battleshout. No Warrior wants to refresh Battleshout for the raid every 6 minutes when encounters last 10 minutes."

I'm not understanding you here. Checking your profile (which may not be up to date) there's no way you should be getting more AP from Kings over Might, even if the Might isn't improved. My paladin has about 1900 unbuffed STR and I still have a 300AP difference in Imp. Might's favor when I'm running with no other buffs (and it would still be in Might's favor even if it wasn't Improved). With other buffs like Mark, Horn, or SoE Totem Kings starts to benefit you more, but for most DPS classes Kings is still going to be what you call a secondary blessing that should take a back seat to Might if you have a choice.
Besides, what else would you do with those two points that would give you an equal or greater boost to DPS (or be useful in the first place)?

Just a silly question, but couldn't it be possible that he gets enough AGI(crit) and INT(crit) from BoK to grant just a bit more DPS then just pure AP* would?
*edit: from blessing of might ofc.

The tiniest amount. How much Agility do you have as Retribution? Anything over 200?
20 Agility is gives you about .38% Crit. The Intellect to Spell Crit conversion isn't something I'm going to bother with. Blessing of Might still wins!

Okay, thanks for that!

Definitely worth it. Veins in my forehead start throbbing when I waste half a stack of reagents buffing a raid, only to have some warrior hit Battle Shout and ask 'PALLY BUFS PLZ.'

Which is one of the reasons I stopped buffing might altogether (I'm prot/holy, don't have imp. might in either spec). So I was kinda hoping kings would be better ;)

As a well geared level 80 running regular HC's I find that my attack power, strength etc scales much better by using Blessing Of Kings as opposed to blessing of might.

/facepalm

Yes, at half 277/half 264 gear Kings beats Might for dps done in a raid. For soloing, you need nearly all 277 gear to have Kings beat Might. However, one Paladin can bless Might and then use Drums of Kings.

The Real question is where do you want to use the 2 extra pointS?

Wouldn't hunters, shamans, feral druids and rogues want kings? Depending on how close to the crit cap they are. I know my feral would rather have 5% crit than the extra 300AP from might (9-10k AP unbuffed already). And enhance/hunters get the extra AP from the int increase too. (I think on my rogue I'd rather have might though :P)

Youre getting 5% crit from kings? What is that, 4166 agility? Im no ferel pro, so is the extra coming from another attribute or are ferels actually braking 4k agility?
Thinking about it it would have to be something else, as 4k agility with kings would give you 400 extra AP ontop of the crit, so at that level it would be a no brainer. So where are you getting this crit :D

Yeah... well at 2-3%, as ret, 300AP is far more valuable, but we dont have 10k AP. (maybe 8k with good grear 25man?)

In iBoM, because chances are the only way Kings is going to be better is if youre raiding 25man and someone has to bless might, and its not the holy paladin or the tankadin.

It was a bit of a guestimate :P but it's ~3%. Will double check tonight after work. I don't play the druid very seriously anymore and was actually thinking there was a higher agility to crit ratio. Looking at the numbers on EJ again I'd prob have to go with might for the most part (although why DKs keep asking me for kings over might escapes me)
