Another reason to add why I dislike him, is because he's just that, a stereotypical, mouth breathing 'me kill puny human' style orc with no redeemable features.
He is also an inspirational leader, which can't really be denied.
Are you kidding me?
Thrall is inspirational, Doomhammer was inspirational, Lothar was inspirational.
Garrosh is on par with Staghlem and Rend blackhand.
Anyway this is the 'Garrosh haters, Come' thread, not the 'others come and defend Garrosh' thread.

as it stands today, the horde (ok let's narrow this down, let's just stay with "the orc race") is basically divided into the frostwolf clan, the warsong clan, and a small pack of smaller clans (such as shattered hand, and burning blade) but the largest bulk of the orcs are either warsong, or frostwolf, a roughly aproximated rate of 70% of the orcish population is of either one or the other of these 2.
and while the entirety of the frostwolf clan suports peace and coexistance with the other races (following along the lines of thrall, saurfang, drek'thar, reghar, and a large ect)
so too can be said that a large portion of the warsong clan supports garrosh (in due no small part because he's the son of hellscream) and his ideals of orcish superiority above the weaker races (following the lines of garrosh, korm, krenna, agmar, ect)
the rest of the orcs, belong to the other clans that suport either one lead or the other (with some going against both, such as neeru fireblade).
singe garrosh has the suport of a large segment of the warsong, wich made up a large portion of the orc population you CAN say he's a popular leader.
some believe the path of garrosh will lead the orcs to destruction, whereas othes believe his path is the way to glory of conquest.
so there it is......... as much as I hate to admit it, garrosh IS a popular leader among a growing segment of the orcs.
that of course doesn't mean he's popular with the rest of the horde, that's a cmpletely difernt tale.

When it comes down to that fact, who side would someone rather be on. Thralls side, with the support of Frostwolves and other clans, tauren, darkspear trolls, and maybe forsaken and bloodelves (last two patchy) or standing with Garrosh, his warsong clan, and a few grimtotem tauren.
Which one sounds the stronger of the two?

Apparently, Garrosh.

Garrosh is on par with Staghlem and Rend blackhand.Rend Blackhand obviously inspired some people, otherwise he would be on his own; wouldn't he? :P
Anyway this is the 'Garrosh haters, Come' thread, not the 'others come and defend Garrosh' thread. The way I see it is that this is basically a "Garrosh thread".

See this is what bothers me the most. Is this blizzards intension to try and paint Thrall as a weak leader now, that in his years of aimming for peace its all been for nothing, and now try pushing him as a background figure and replacing him with someone new, like a new t.v or sound system?
I think people who are quick to forget all he did and still does, and all the good that came from the horde because of him, are just shallow in there sudden want for change.
btw, those orcs in that pick, the one talking, is probably a warsong follower and only sees things from the 'old ways' pov. I am not happy with what blizzard aims to do, if they intend to push Thrall as a background figure, or kill him like he is worth nothing.
Pardon my french then but.. fu*k Garrosh. And screw the warsong. If the horde is to be lead by some lord of the rings rip of version of an orc and become the arcitypal bad guys again, like they haven't had enough to deal with in being seen otherwise, then blizzard has lost the plot. THAT is why I defend Thrall so much, because he is an orcish ruler who you can follow and feel like a hero, where as Garrosh, he's simply not.

Judging from this, I feel you may be somewhat too attached to the Warcraft fiction. In any case, your feelings for Thrall or the Horde are certainly no more right, correct or worthy of respect than any other's. People are getting bored and want to see things move on.

wow. wow wow...........
I've never said that I wanted garrosh as the new warchief, I hate that idea a lot, I Hope the bastard (or group of bastards) inside blizzard that came up with that idea step in a big pile of.............. SH%& I even think blizzard "LIED" to us when they promised that they wound't compromise the honor and good light of the horde in cataclysm.......
Hard Fact: thrall is as many have said (including the son of varian himself) "extraordinary", there will simply never be another one like him, and as long as he's alive, I want him leading the orcs.
what I said in my previous post, is that garrosh aint some insulated unpopular political figure, his word actually does have some weight in orgrimmar and sadly, regretably, the number of orcs suporting his ways is growing, thrall still has the majority, but garrosh is slowly growing as a political figure in the horde, at least in the orc's eyes, it remains to be seen how will the rest of the horde (elves, tauren, troll, goblin and undead) react to his ways.
he probably won't be a very popular leader due to how he treats the other races of the horde........

Well, personaly I think that things didn't have to move on this way. Thrall was a leader and it seems Blizzard is making him old before his time.
By dealing with a larger threat?

By letting the young orcs think that he lost the 'fire and passion' from before. I always though that not allowing this was one of the Warchief's tasks so that everyone could feel that he is dependable.
Which I think is a consequence of the Horde's former actions. Under Blackhand and Doomhammer, the Horde was ruled with an iron fist and the people had very little liberty. To appease his people and grant them greater freedom than he had already bestowed upon them; Thrall is being gentle with his people - although some people now see him as weak.
It all boils down to one thing: Ruling with an iron fist, or a velvet glove?
