well, on that example with the dog that may be true, but if we look at princess' crimes, her only crime was to feed, sure she fed from the harvests of another farmer but still, did she TRULY deserved to die?
I consider the quest evil, because you're esentially killing a harmless animal for no good reason other than a jealous old lady who can't stand losing a competition.
I maintain my stand that just killing the defias owners and setting the pig free in some other area would had been a more noble goal than just killing the pig.
and BTW thechamp, regarding your previous post about the terminology "fan-boy" here's my opinion about it.
For me, Fan-boy is a derrogatory terminology that clasifies as an insult, because there is a large diference from a fan to a fan-boy.
a fan is someone who expresses admiration towards a certain someone , or a group, or an ideology.
a fan-boy/girl is a fan who's taken the fanatism to a level so large that they often go out of their way to express it, often insulting and atacking those who disdain the object of their affection, to the point that they ignore all logic trown at their way and utterly completely refuse to be reasonable or respond to logic, or plain evidence shown.
I do not believe I have reach that tresshold (neither have you I think) so I ask humbly to restrain from using that terminology at least agains me, I never call anyone fan-boy/girl, and in return I ask that none call me like that.
to be frank I like u dude, there's no reason to be confrontational, considering that in the past we've had quite a nice ammount of debates that ended quite well, without the need of name-calling or bash of someone else's beliefs.
so let's stay friendly bro' it would be a darn shame that we become hostile towards one another.
I respect your opinion, I simply ask that you respect mine.
after all, even in disagreement there can be respect.

Rank, he called himself a fan boy as well.
wich proves he didn't meant anything wrong by it, but I'd still would like to NOT be adressed as that, I find the term insulting.
fan, loyalist, suporter, admirer, any of these can sufice.

xD essentially, a fan-boy/girl is someone who's taken their devotion on something to zealotry xD.
but funny comment still bro' xD
CAN'T WAIT FOR STARCRAFT TO COME OUT!
here's my prayer so that blizzard NEVER turns starcraft into another MMO, it's bad enough that they butchered warcraft by making it from an RTS to an MMO, so that they also make the same sacrilege with starcraft.

a sistem like that is feasable in a single-player enviroment (bioware has proven that with their many alignment based RPG's) but hardly practical in an MMO.
mostly because players don't like to miss out content, if there's a quest avaliable, they wanna be able to doit, if the quest is unpleasant, they can opt to skip it, but what most players hate is when the desition of not doing the quest is made for them.
this is why there are no longer class-based quests after vanilla, and why there are so few race-based quests in the game.
because as it is, if blizzard implements a quest that is "paladin only" or "rogue only", then the other classes will QQ for quests unique to them, and even if blizzard adds class exclusive quests for all 10 classes, then X class will QQ because the class-based quest of Y class is better than theirs...........
this is the reason why blizzard just took the middle road and made quests for everyone.
as it is, if you look at it, out of the 100% quests this game has, 60% are neutral, 20% are alliance, 20% are horde, that's because again, players hate it when there's an epic questline they can't do.
to add newer barriers to that line would create needless problems, and would make it look like blizzard is trying to ripoff bioware with an alingment system.
is better that they add mean quests as well as nice quests, and let the players choose wich ones they wanna do rather than force players to do quests to increase their "evil-bar" or their "good-bar".
this is the same aproach bioware took with dragon age origins.
in previous bioware games, players had to either be mean or be nice the whole game to max out their alingment bar, in dragon age there is no alingment bar at all, so you're free to act as you see fit, everything is optional, nothing is mandatorial.
I got respect for you, and ill stop calling you a fanboy
thank you, u know...... this is mostly a cultural matter, I dunno about america, but at least in venezuela, more specifically in the region I live, "Fan-boy" is quite an insulting term, really close to the "F" word if u catch my dritf.

=/ at least you didn't asumed I was from mexico like 99% of my guild did T_T why so many americans think all of latin america is mexican and loves spicy food with tortillas is something I can't understand.
but ok bro' no harm done.

Heh, the reason for that is because the majority of immigrants that Americans see are Mexican, because Mexico is adjacent to the United States. I live in Texas and we have a lot more Mexicans here than Venezuelans.

this may be a bit of necro, but this thread is essentially to discuss quests that we consider evil, and why do we consider them evil.
this is a neutral quest in blade's edge, that I just did again on my DK (I completed it a long time ago on my shammy)
it made me remember how evil it made me feel, even when the quest itself it's actually good.
the quest is the chain to unlock ogri'la, in that chain, you must liberate the ogre clans from the tyrany of the gronn by killing gruul's sons, and freeing the ogre clans, as a reward, not only you get to go to ogri'la, the most sacred ground for ogres, but you also get apointed as king/queen (depends on gender) of the ogres.
now, this is all good and all that, but............ there is no pre-requisite to do this quest, just to be 70, and have a flight mount, that's it.
it really makes you feel evil if you do this quest chain BEFORE doing your faction (horde and alliance) quests in blade's edge.
because regardless if u're alliance or horde, both factions ask you to kill a HUGE ammount of ogres, and if you doit when u're their king, they issue some really sad emotes....
like "Me honored, Queen killed me" or "queen, why?"
=( when i did this on my shammy, I had already completed all the blade's edge quests ( I leveled here from 67 to 71) so once I was king of the ogres on my shaman, I had no need to kill ogres.
on my DK; I leveled in northrend, when I did this quest and became queen of the ogres wiht my DK, I had to do the quests that ask to kill ogres, and I litteraly felt like a jerk.......
freeing them, only to then butcher them? and they even show sadness about it..........
a good quest, with evil consequences........ now THAT is low U_U
