When we spend money on the economy, that money comes back to us through a higher GDP. This notion has been around much longer than this president.
Actually, no. It's the broken window problem. Rationale: if I go and break this shopkeeper's window, I am forcing him to buy and new one and thus stimulating the economy.

Or just reduce it drastically?
Can you really call cutting away our overspending (about 1 trillion a year at this point) drastic?
do you believe our lives would be much improved without a strong federal government?
Yes.
Of course, we're in so deep it would be a rough transition.

What mess are you talking about? The recession? Or are you saying overspending got us a higher deficit?
Of course overspending raised the deficit, but we needed spending to get us on the road to recovery or our debt would overwhelm us. I know it seems a bit backwards but that's the way economics is.
No, that's not the way economics is. It's a silly notion that is being used to defend a silly president.
As has been said, this idea has been around a lot longer than this president has been. Obviously you don't know what you're talking about, and you're just trying to dismiss logic based on personal insults towards the president.

"...that is being used to..." =/= "...was created for the sole purpose of..."
Why are you denying that you're defending the president?
And guess what...the idea that most people in politics have no idea what the !@#$ they are doing has been around even longer.

How do you believe the country would improve with a weak federal government?
Organic growth and production is more efficient and benefits more people than an artificially controlled system.
If you want to see what the US would look like without a strong federal government to put a check on business, take a look around the world at countries with a "friendlier business environment". You'll find children in sweatshops working 12 hour days, toxic materials being dumped into the environment (causing health problems and deaths), and outright slavery.
You do realize that everything you listed happens under more socialist governments too, right?
If you're going to make an argument against libertarianism, pick something that only applies to it and not every other government in the world.
Secondly, I'm not an anarchist. However, the government exists to protect rights, not grant them.
People are largely just as free, healthy, and happy as we have been.
We're not a libertarian country. Comparing two non-libertarian countries sheds no light on what a libertarian country would be like.
And none of their citizens has to worry about going bankrupt if something terrible happens to themselves or a loved one (on top of what they'll already be feeling).
Strong federal government means you have to worry about it taking away more than it should.

I really don't care what people think of me but after having asked some friends to review the threads I was posting in here they had some interesting things to say. It seems the liberal indoctrination to hate conservatives starts early.
I'm sorry, but the only hating that seems to be going on is you towards everyone who even remotely disagrees with you.
