-Went full int build on an affliction warlock in vanilla on a pvp server.
-Not really my fault, but my computer was so bad it would crash loading from zeppelin to zeppelin, and by the time I'd log back in my toon would be back in the continent I started at. One time I got stuck in a zoning loop.
-Came from EQ, so I expected any and every enemy to want to attack me first. I ran from yellow named undead until I hit level 6 or so.
-Used /1 to repeat Hello over and over, hoping for a response. Eventually I was told to stfu.
-I was blown away by out of combat mana regeneration, had never seen it in an MMO. I would lifetap just to watch how fast it would go.
-Hellfired myself to death, didn't realize it was possible. Then did it again to make sure.

I remember getting frustrated when my priest's Fade spell wouldn't cause the mob I was fighting to back off of me. It got to the point that I almost created a GM ticket whining about the spell being broken. Not sure why I finally realised it was meant to drop agro while partied up with other players, but I'm glad I didn't embarass myself by complaining to people about it.
I remember not using some of my early warlock summons and spells for a while b/c I didn't have the "Soulshard spell". I stopping using Drain Soul b/c the dmg sucked, and hadn't fully read it's purpose beforehand.
I remember failing my first few bubble-hearth's on my Paladin b/c I was terrible with my key-bindings and didn't know what macro's were. I actually had to google, "How to Bubblehearth". Lol.
I got kicked from a mid-level dungeon group b/c I argued that Paladin's don't get their Resurrection spell, yet. Then, once I figured out that I was wrong, I had trouble finding the quest for it b/c it was considered a low level quest and I had to talk to the quest giver to find it (I didn't realize that low level quests could still be accepted at the time). I came very close to opening a GM ticket stating that I missed out on the quest to get my rez spell, and can no longer get it. I'm really glad I didn't do something stupid like delete my Paladin and start over just to get the spell "the right way".

When I first played vanilla open beta I went for a UD warlock right away, because I was a big UD player in war3 and necro was my fav.
The original warlock page on the wow web site showed warlocks as getting infernals (another one of my favs from war3), anti-magic shield and immolate. In my head that meant I could have an infernal or many infernals with me at all times, I could be immune to magic and anyone touching me would burst into flames.
Little did I know that all 3 of those wouldn't be anywhere near what I thought they would be...you can imagine my disappointment when using infernals and anti-magic shield in vanilla on a warlock (what a joke...)
