Okay everyone, for your viewing pleasure, the new script has been posted. It is located on the first post of this thread, as well as the new installation instructions. I am fairly sure that I covered everything, but as usual if there are any installation problems, please feel free to ask them in this topic.
Thanks guys...

Glad to hear it working for you, benv. I am working on a script now that will allow you to manage your cache, like clear it, add/remove items, etc.

@nybras, that is the error i was talking about when putting the wowhead cache table into the same database that phpBB uses. my best guess is that you're using the same MySQL username to connect to the same database and that is causing the errors. my recommendation would be to put the item cache into its own database until i can figure out a workaround.
@viduus, you must have installed the script incorrectly. without giving more information, i can't help you. sorry.

Yep, I use phpBB3 portal as well and here's how to get the script working with it:
Open "./portal/includes/functions.php" and look for the following line (it should be near the top of the page):
include($phpbb_root_path . 'includes/message_parser.'.$phpEx);
Immediately after it add:
include_once($phpbb_root_rath . 'wowhead/parse.php');
Next, inside the same file, look for the following lines:
// Parse the message and subject
$message = censor_text($row);
$message = str_replace("\n", '<br />', $message);
Immediately after it add:
$message = whp_parse($message);
Save and close functions.php and reupload it to your website, as needed.
You may or may not have to clear your cache, I'm not sure if the cache is used by the portal.
That's it, you're done. Enjoy!

Assuming that you followed the proper instructions and added the code to the correct spot, then you should not be having any of those strange things happening. The code does not mess with anything other than the message of post that it is given. You are listing problems that the code doesn't even mess with, so there must be an installation error of some sort. Exactly what that problem is, I have no way of knowing, unless i was able to look at the code on your website. Sry, wish I could be of more.
If there are any other mods you're running, you should let me know to see if there are any issues.
Looking at the source code of your forums I see:
<script type="text/javascript" src="ajax_tooltip/js/ajax-dynamic-content.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="ajax_tooltip/js/ajax.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="ajax_tooltip/js/ajax-tooltip.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="ajax_tooltip/css/wow-item.css" type="text/css" />
That tells me that you're running another script that does a similar operation to mine, this is highly not recommended. Two tooltip mods on the same forums can't possibly play nicely together, unless they're coded differently.
*Edit* By the way, if you use X-Fire, my username is cr4ckp0t, add me and we'll see if we can get ya running.

Getting information from a website other than wowhead would defeat the whole purpose of this script. It was written to get information from wowhead, I do not know how other websites handle their information. Bascially, if you do not wish to use wowhead, then you must find another script. As for translations into other language, I do not speak any other than English, and I don't really speak (type) it all that well. If Wowhead does not support another language, then neither can this script, sorry.

New addition to this script.
The threw together a little stand-alone PHP script to allow you to manage your cache. This script can clear it, add items to it, or allow you delete items as you see fit. Installation instructions are below.
Download the file:
http://downloads.exhume-guild.com/?dl=manage_cache.zip
Open the file and edit the username and password settings to your liking.
Upload the file to your "./wowhead/" directory.
It should be in the same folder as parse.php and config.php.
Point your browser to
http://www.yourdomain.com/path/to/wowhead/manage_cache.php
and login, and then you can do whatever you wish. Enjoy!!!
I am also writing a different script that will check for proper installation of the script. It will check to see that each file is uploaded to the proper location, and will also check if the files from phpBB3 that were supposed to be edited, were edited properly. I'm just deciding on the way to properly ensure that the code is located inside of overall_header.html and functions_content.php where I intended it to be.

I have same bug. When i insert code all my posts gone from forum. If i remove $text = whp_parse($text);
all posts show again. I think its a problem in parsing.
My form fresh (im install it for testing)

If it works on most forums, and doesn't on others, that usually means that the installation was done incorrectly. There is no possible reason why the script would make your posts disappear. If you need help, you have to give me more information. And check, then double check that the script was/is installed correctly.
