Autoloot Item Command?
Return to board index
I had this idea for World of Warcraft. Basically, it would be an in-game command implemented by Blizzard, so no addons are required. Just a simple slash command to autoloot a specific item (or
) so your inventory won't get full. This would be infinitely useful for farming Eternals, or Crystallized Fire/Life/Shadow/Water/Air, and wouldn't require the upkeep or maintenance an addon does.
Example (ali = AutoLootItem):
/ali crystallized life (or the item's ID number)
This command would make it so you ALWAYS pick up that item, whether by means of simply right clicking to loot, or shift+right clicking (loot all items). As soon as the loot frame was opened and you had this command enabled, your specific item or items would be looted instantly.
To go back to normal is a simple command:
To see the list of items you are currently autolooting, you would type:
And it's as simple as that. What do you think?
I'm pretty sure there's an addon for that.
There are a few, but I like one in particular. It's called
. I use it, and it's great. You can even shorten the list by generalizing what's looted (mining, cloth, etc) so it gets anything the game categorizes under that (or maybe the addon has a lot of things under those cats.)
Yeah but with that, you need to add things to a list and configure it, right? I'm just talking about a simple temporary command.
edit: I've tried out Looter and I like it a lot, so I think this answers my dilemma. Thanks!
