wtf happened to the talent trees? wowhead either messed them up, or blizz did, big time. highest tier is 30 point talents? and you only gain 1 talent every 2 levels? there gotta be some mistake here... 41 total points of talents is way too few @ lvl 85Haven't heard any of this change... so i'm assuming it is a mistake. otherwise the talent system has been shrewed, and what blizz said about leaving the highest tier talent at 51-points, and giving you 5 extra points to spend on other trees, were lies. I sincerely hope i'm wrong, and I just missed a very obvious note somewhere.
It wasn't there on my browser upon writing. It was there today though. Big letdown... *sigh* Especially because the masteries have vanished
Masteries are temporarily gone during this build, the stat isnt' being removed... or do you mean the talents like Sword/Axe/Mace masteries? I'm really glad those are gone to be honest. Gonna be nice to be able to combine weapons any way you want. :)
I did mean the stat mastery, but as long as it is only tempoarily gone, it's okay I suppose. Just kinda sad about that, because I had a really big question about the mastery system. The former calculator gave you bonuses to your mastery stat, where the first tree you placed points in determined which type of mastery bonuses you would gain. But all points placed AFTER 51 points gave no additional bonus. I though the point in mastery bonus was, to make people actually WANT to spend ALL their points in one tree, compared to know where most build take no more than 51-55 in the main tree, and then spend the rest in a sub-tree. I've seen people on trade and in dalaran being made fun of after an inspection, people saw this particular person had all his points in one tree. (The most recent one being a PvE Raid frost mage) I am not TOO into this whole build thing, but being able to go purely into one spec, disregarding the rest, seems like a fairly good idea. I play a shaman, and if you are resto or elemental, you are almost stupid not to spend quite a few points in enhancement to get thundering strikes - that is 10 points, at least. 5 % crit chance is a lot, which is why it is so good, and almost mandatory for both specs. But let's focus on a elemental shaman. Let's say he spend his 51 points in elemental, and then he only had 10 points more to spend (just for the examples sake). letting him get additional mastery bonuses after the first 51 points would give him a choice. Right now, that choice is almost made for him. if he got... 2,5 % additional spell damage, 2 % additional crit, and 1 % additional chance to proc elemental overload from the 10 additional points in elemental ---- but 10 % additional int and 5 % crit by going enhancement. That would, in my opinion, be better than the current way the system works, and actually allow the shaman to make the choice, if he prefered those things in enhancement, or extra talents + mastery bonuses by staying elemental. Hope it ends out something like that, but by looking at the new talent trees, I somehow doubt it.

I'd lke to ask, will I be able to grind rep for the Zandalar Tribe in Cata?
Not sure this is the best place to post this so move it if be, but in your pre-release guide, the taking back of Gnomer...You have stated that only after the last 2 quests in the chain you will receive Gnomeregan Pridebut this can be received at any lvl, after handing in Word for deliveryty.
