To gearing pallies: What is best *really*? (On crit vs Int)

On the contrary, it should be a large increase in agility. Cracked and broken sidewalks are
far
easier to navigate successfully if you can't fully remember walking on them the next morning.

I
love
this guy. He's teaching me new things about the human capacity for self-deception every day.

If crit is the best, then int is the bestest!
I am obsessed with int!
(compensating for something, eh?)

Ok,
So my original post, I saw this was a back and forth thread but i really didn't read it, so I just added my 2 stupid cents. This time tho I took the 40 minutes to read this and do some of the math myself and I feel like I need to say a few things to the Original Poster (OP).
A hardcore person (and for the record I am not entirely un-hardcore, I just came back to this game not-long-ago and don't have a connection which lets me do 25mans, otherwise I'd have too much gear to worry about forumgoing by now
Am I reading this wrong? Or are you saying that just because you arn't currently raiding the 25 man content and arn't currently "as geared" as you want to be, is the only reason why you bother to grace us with your presence? If you had the gear then that would imply you had the knowledge you need and would not be "forum going"?
I'm here, I'm here to stay, and regulars or not I'm going to say what I want to people.
I'm sorry? Arn't you here until you get gear? and then your going to leave us?
If your regulars can tell me what they think I'm doing wrong and then tell me what they think I could improve (like a few posters on this topic), then maybe I will accept what they say
I think I have gotten to the point where I can call myself a "regular" on this forum. I read threads, I answer any questions I can, and I post new and useful things to try and help people. I am referenced by posters on this forum that have done way more than me (thanks for referencing me again squish), and i stick up for other regulars. So, what do I have to say to you? Your coming off really really ^&*!y for a person that hasn't done that much here, and when people who have a lot more credibility and respect that you reply to your posts, you get really aggressive and start this who back and forth. It doesn't mater if you didn't know that some of the people posted know way more about holy paladin'ing than you. You should take every comment and think about what they are saying. You can learn just as much about your class and your character from the good comments as you can from the bad comments.
either way I didn't ask for critique with this post.
If someone is talking to you and telling you a cool story they heard on the news, but they have a really big chunk of broccoli stuck in their teeth, you do the polite thing and point it out to him. Doesn't mater if he ask you if he looked good or not. Its just something you do. If your going to post something on this forums because are going to look at and around what your saying. If they feel that there is a big chuck of broccoli in your teeth, they are going to say something.
------
As for me. I don't know ANYTHING about holy paladins. I don't even know what the CD on holy shock is because for 99.99% of my play time, i didn't even have that spell in my spell book. What I do know is that last night I got
Realm First! Grand Crusader
and the only reason I was alive at the end of the fight was because of our holy paladin
Stuffedfun
. Later that night I had this conversion with him. I did not talk to him about this post and I did not give him any coaching.
Hey dude can i ask you a quick question?
sure
What would you say to a guy that suggest that crit might be better than Int?
I would tell him to get out of level 60 and grow the *!@# up
omg, lol, do you mind if i quote you on that?
knock yourself out man :-)
Cheers
(strait copy from my chat log, minus some whispers and trade chat in the middle)
You come off really %^&*y to me, and if anyone owes anyone an apology, its you to me and everyone else that actually took the time to read this post. An apology to Squishalot would be enough for me not to think you are a complete &*!@#$.
Hope that's not too harsh,
Cheers,
Hat

Pullaryth and Halapulle, on your way out, can you say 'I'M GOING TO MAINTANKADIN AND I'M NEVER COMING BACK AGAIN.' It would make my day.

What, so he can annoy Theck and co instead?
That was zoomie, right?
<everything>
Congrats on the achievement! Not that I can talk, but our server is a bit backward - other servers had cleared 99% of the hardmodes in Ulduar before we even got an Algalon kill.
Anyway, in a backhanded sort of way, halaryth did apologise in the first few posts (in amongst some more bragging and side insults), but mostly in an attempt to get me to apologise for hurting his feelings (*cough*).
And don't worry - I've never had Holy Shock in my spellbook on the live servers xD

And if you wanna see im correct, just so simple math everybody learns in school.
Uh huh. So if this math is so simple, why can't you post it, like we've asked over and over again?
Of course, if your math is as good as your English...

I vaguely remember someone arguing just like pulle some months ago. Something about simple math and we're a blockheads for not seeing it. I wish I could remember the context.

Were they right though?
It's probably zoomie and the changes to Protribution and its viability. Or someone similar to zoomie.

And yes i actually sleep some times.
Uhhh...great! I was so dying to know if it were really true.

Speaking of which, what are you still doing awake? :P Isn't it like 2am over there right now?

Naw, now that I think about it, I think it was back when I was active on the Warrior forums. Something about Deep Wounds tanking builds doing less dps than full prot builds -_-

Nope, only 11:20 here on the East Coast.

Fair enough. So which ones do more dps? :P
And that works. GMT-5?

I guess you can't appreciate the humor of it since you don't play warrior.
Full prot build
(more or less, it's been a while)
DW build
.
So with full prot, you're giving up the DoT and extra crit dmg that DW brings in favor of survival talents. This guy was convinced that he could do more dmg as full prot.
And that works. GMT-5?
No, they're EST+5 ;)

Hehe, I do play a warrior, but not far enough in yet to spec from Prot into Deep Wounds, which was my intention. I wasn't sure what you meant by 'pure prot'.
I reckon you'd get more purchase out of moving two points out of Improved Charge and putting it into Puncture, to really be *pure* Prot... but at the least, I'm surprised that there's nothing even in Armored to the Teeth.
Ah well.
And no, you're AEDT-16 :P (Or AEST-15, if it wasn't Summer.)
In more seriousness though, New Zealand are currently GMT+13, absurdedly enough. So there's a one hour window each day right now where the Earth can be split across three calendar days.

There's no way you can convince me it's summer when it's -20 C (which feels like -50 when you're on a four story building without walls and a slight breeze passes you by) outside and my workmate came to work with 9 layers of clothing yesterday.
N-O W-A-Y.
P.S. I do have a cousin in aussieland atm. And is well aware of the fact there is two different hemispheres on earth.
Writing this P.S. since humor has seized to exist in these forums
.

Swap? Though I don't think I like the idea of your job, working without walls :P
