John shuttered at the idea of the leechers, looking away.
"I can go without seeing that," John said before looking around.
"Hey, how much is a room here?" John called.

Tahlia Martin
The Island
Tahlia had finished the warding spells and returned to her cave, taking a seat in the center as she used arcane magic to carve more sigils into the floor, then tied them into the spells outside and murmured a few words, drawing in energy from around herself. When she was finished, she was flushed and panting but happy; the spells would now repel anyone who approached with conflict or rage on their minds and keep her safe.

John sighed, scratching his head.
"Can I trade knowledge instead of coin?" John asked, "you saw what I found before. I could explore a bit and give you more detailed notes of the area," he said, hoping the elf would want that.
"You know, for future inns or places to get your materials," John said.

"Excellent," John said, "I packed some long before you even got to the tree. You may want to test them to make sure they aren't going to kill you though," John said, opening his pack and showing the variety of fruits.

John waited for a reaction, nothing happening.
"Careful, may not kill you it seems, but it could have side-effects ranging from headaches to.. well, anything really," John said.

Tahlia Martin
The Island
"Well lad, what do you think?" Tahlia asked, looking at her mount who raised his head, looking around the cave, then lowered it again without a sound. "Pain in the butt." She laughed, murmuring as she created a few magic lights and sent them to float around her cave, providing good light, then settled in to create a fireplace in one of the walls.

"Uhh," John said, "like I said, be careful. A lot of those fruits are eaten by the local animals, so some of them may posess certain chemicals that could be stronger on us then them," John said.

"Well, alright," John shrugged, sitting in the chair since he couldn't really getup.
"So.. what brought you to the islands?" John asked, figuring he might as well make conversation to pass the time.

The Island
"So, if the hole goes up on a 70 degree angle... less chance of the wind stealing the heat or water coming down it." Tahlia said, her hands glowing with fire as she continued to sculpt the fireplace out of the side of the cave.

"Ah," John said, "explains the inn's name," he said, motioning to a sign.
"Shame, I came here for some adventure," John shrugged, "I guess I'm the only one here that did," he sighed.
