well OP i can agree with you for the most part the new way they have set things up has made stuff easier emblems and instance runs are nothing like they were in BC but giving this is a company,
customers and there money pay there bills they most conform to the majority or go OOB, they have made an effort to appease the ones who liked the challenge with hard modes but getting enough people to do the hard modes (from what i understand) is not an easy task.
im more of a casual player now i started in BC ( i missed alot of content in vanilla and quite a bit of BC) and rushed through most content at first to get to end game content, but after wolk came out and ran a few dungeons turned me to casual. my second char i made was more like my first char i havent rushed through the game and have fun playing that way then running to end game. my other char is only a lv 66 druid heals/tank
I roll alliance and horde chars as well and that makes it a little more fun
when a game you enjoy becomes boring but yet you stil want to play you just find/make new ways to make it fun again
OP= if you like the BC runs so much more then the WOLK maybe you should just lv to 70 and lv cap yourself I have thought about doing that until BC gets way to boring

I'm surprised to see all the hate here. I actually agree with the OP.
Perhaps the most amazing part is to see people who play for an hour or two start flaming over the "too easy" comments. An hour or two isn't long enough to raid. What makes you think you're entitled to raid quality loot?
MMOs are fairly time consuming. This isn't new.
There is content for a wide variety of players due to player diversity and the need to satisfy as many players as possible. That doesn't, however, mean that everything about the game needs to be so simple that anyone with a spare hour can accomplish. I don't expect to see the Lich King until well after he's been killed by the top guilds on my server.
I look forward to clearing each tier of content, as my time allows. I understand that I won't be on the edge of content, given the fact that I'm not in a cutting-edge guild.
Rather than raving over the fact that you can't do the latest content, try getting through the content in order. Accomplish something more than raising your gearscore.
IMO, the game should have content for everyone. Hard Modes are great for people who need the challenge, but the rest of the game shouldn't be so bland that players who can afford to spend 12 hours a week playing get bored to tears repeating the same heroics every day because it's the best place to get emblems.
In respect to
content
and
interest
, how many times must we grind through the same crap?
If you want to argue the life-span of patches, then Blizzard would have to churn out a new content patch every month or two because that's how long it takes for your average casual to gear through heroics, and the amount of time required for raiders to push through the latest raid content. That's break-neck development pace, folks. How much content are you prepared to skip in the interest of your gearscore, trying to hang on the coat-tails of those who can afford the time to raid?
Don't push people with free time out of the game simply because you can't play as often. On that slippery slope, the person who plays for one hour per week would have his way and the rest of you would be bored to tears.
Casuals flame people for wanting more content. Hardcores complain about lack of content. Everyone is tired of re-running the same heroics from launch. There is a need for Progression to remain a part of the game for longer than the current patch version, else you're repeating the same crap for badges and gear score.

I play a Druid what made me upset was that i worked hard for my flight form doing the chain of quest then they came along and made it so you can buy it for 9 gold it took the fun right out of it there are lots of things that they have made the game easier so if you are new you can lv. fast to lv 80 i had to work hard to get to lv 60 with my first toon.I enjoyed that i had done something now its easy to get a toon up to lv 80 the hard work is gone. I still love the game but gone are the days that you were still runnning every where till you got to lv 40 to get your mt. you felt like you had really done something, I understand what they are sayingI agree with you there, I think taking out the class quests for the mounts/forms was a mistake on Blizzards part. Sure you still get a feat of strength for it... but you can just go and solo the quests at 70/80 now.....

As a very casual player, to me the game has never been more fun.
When I first started playing four years ago, I hit a wall at level 60. With my main, which was a warlock at the time, there wasn't anything else for me to do but do PvP (which, if you remember back then, was a nightmare because you could almost never get up in rank after a certain point). I couldn't raid and even some of the 5-mans took too long for me to bother with. I am limited to 60-120 minutes usually in any given night.
I ended up just playing alts, mostly.
I got a couple of characters to 70 in TBC, but it was still the same issue. The instances were a bit longer than I personally could do. On the other hand, battlegrounds was much improved so I spent alot of time in there. Now that you could use honor points to get better gear and you didn't have to grind yourself into oblivion praying for a promotion in rank, it was better. I really wanted to try some 5-man content, but it was hard to put together the time.
WotLK hit and it has only gotten better for me. I played through the solo content, which was amazing (compared to what we had before). But now the 5-mans were more accessible. They didn't take an hour or two to run through. Now you could complete even a heroic instance in less than thirty minutes. This was the part of the game that I always wanted to enjoy.
Patch 3.3 was like a gift from God for me because now I can just play in 5-mans all day long. I still don't have time to raid, but I am perfectly happy with heroic 5-mans being my personal end game. Not only do I find them fun to do, but I can also get nice gear from them and with emblems. What good is emblem gear when I am never going to raid? Who cares? It's a nice touch, Blizzard.
I now have the opportunity to learn to tank. This is something I can work on now which was a job never open to me before because I did not have the time. If I choose, I can tank two or three times in a day now inside of an hour.
Do I think I am being given things too easily? No. I still have to work for what I get. I have to run dungeons for gear to drop from bosses and I have to farm them for emblems to drop. If some of it is raid quality gear, what does it matter? The people who raid will always have better gear to shoot for as their goal.
Did I mention the achievement system? This thing probably has me hooked more than any other part of the game. And the best part of it is that you can choose how far you personally go into it. Some people don't care about it at all. Personally, I realize that many achievements are out of the question for me, but those that I can get, I actively pursue. There's no reward that comes from this other than me patting myself on the back saying "Well done, son."
This isn't a game of numbers and gear and stats for me. I do enjoy playing with those things from time to time to make myself a better player, but they do not define the game for me.
I commented in another post that I cook for money. Primarily it's for money, of course, but I also feel like I am providing a service for someone else who either doesn't want to do it or doesn't have the time. I enjoy picking up the daily cooking quest every day and doing it. I enjoy heading out to Dragonblight to fish for my customers.

So, i played this game called football. I liked it in the beginning. It was a lot of fun. Then later on, it stopped being as much fun.
For example, I don't like how you get tackled all the time. It sort of hurts after a while.
Instead of stopping my play and and picking another game, I have decided to start a discussion about how the rules of football should be changed so it can be tailored to me.
I will write to the NFL about this in about a week after I get enough responses. I mean, I bought an NFL jersey just last week. I am a paying customer and I basically pay their salaries.

On the gear subject, I would just like to throw my two cents in:
My dad and I share an account. His BElf pally is currently half decked-out in T10 while my DK in still only in partial T9 gear. When he asked me why, I said "Because I'm getting it the right way."
He looked at me like I had four heads. Turns out, he didn't even know the dungeon pieces were boss drops! Half my guild was also shocked to learn this! Anyone in my guild who was wearing full T10 had gotten their gear solely from badges.
This, I think, has truely killed the game.
