I need to flame somewhere so i thought wowhead would be the greatest place to do it.
Since the introduction of Wrath of the lich king its brought an insane amount of lazy raiders, people who only raid to get there piece of gear then leave, or more annoyingly, if you wipe once in an dungeon, the whole group disbands. Thinking back to Bc or even vanilla wow, almost every dungeon had multiple wipes, people complained but they thought of better ways to get by, ultimatly making them a better raider. Even moreso with the introduction of the new LFG system people just leave and can easily find a new "better" group to get there emblems. It makes me a very sad panda
/stop complaint

People were more patient back before Burning Crusade, but I still had raids where people disbanded after the first few wipes.
Indeed you found a few impatient people back then, but not near to the same extent nowadays
Example - Nexus heroic, the commander boss, tank pulled too many because of fear and we wiped. first wipe, couldve been avoided but wasnt really anyones fault. i said oh well lets try that again. 2 people left, its not like a corpse run or rebuffing takes long. Just makes me very mad when people do this when most heroics take less then 25 minutes nowadays.

Casual -
without definite or serious intention; careless or offhand; passing
As defined by dictionary.com.
It's a well known fact that Blizzard has made WoW much more friendly to casuals, which, in itself provides positives and negatives. However, just because they've made gear easier to obtain, doesn't mean the game is any less than it used to be. You can't blame people for not wanting to commit 3+ hours to a single activity in a game, every day, just to be able to play better content.
Being casual is no excuse for being lazy, spending 2-5 minutes maximum on recovering from a wipe isnt that taxing... Im up for blizzard "catering" to casuals, im a very casual player in fact, but being one doesnt justify you to be A. a #$%^ player. and B. waste everyones time

Reason beeing; that in vanilla, those who actually cared for the experience of raids(meaning you would be able to wipe several times without giving up) was the ones who cared putting hours and hours into getting to lvl 60. Those players who are lazy today would probably never play vanilla.
THIS IS NOT A FACT. Just my opinion ;)
I second your opinion.
In vanilla, and somewhat in BC, the top rewards were EARNED, usually through either hundreds of failed attempts, or hours and hours of grinding rep, mobs, or mats.
Now it seems that everything is "instant gratification" in WoW. Mounts at 20, the ability to get near top level gear in a matter of hours rather than weeks, ect, ect. Somewhere here on wowhead I remember seeing a thread about what drake was "easiest" to get. Several of the replies talked about how hard some of the drakes were to get, and how some of them took weeks of grinding to obtain. I couldnt help but think what some of these people would have thought about the time and effort that it took to actually get the Netherwing drakes back in BC.

People have always done this. Not just lazy players, or casuals. The vast majority of raiders go for epic lewtz and liek pwnag3 sk1ll5 rather than to enjoy the content.
