Tried searching and couldn't find anything pertaining to this, and google seems to have been infiltrated by Miss Information, so I don't know what sites to trust. I do however trust my wowhead peeps, so here's my question.
My sister has Windows Vista on her PC. We want to upgrade to Windows 7, but as a clean install.
1. Do I need to reformat the hard drive, or will a fresh install do that for me?
2. Do I need the full version, or can I get the upgrade version? Keep in mind we no longer have the product key for her Windows Vista. I don't know if we need that, or if it's displayed somewhere in her computer properties.
Thanks in advance everyone!

1) No. In fact, you probably shouldn't if you get an upgrade copy as it will make it easier (otherwise you will have to reinstall Vista or make some unsupported tweaks to the registry). All you have to do is pop in the CD, reboot, and when it prompts, do a "Custom" install.
2) No. As long as you have a legitimate license, you are fine with an upgrade copy.
