I'm server changing soon(pvp server), and my friends would like to start an arena team also..
I was wondering how each spec is doing in BGs and Arenas.. I love both DPS specs, I'm not so much a healer. Actually I'm not a healer at all lol.
Also, what's your biggest threats as these two specs, feral/balance.. and what do you wish the spec had to compete a little better..
Basically a pro and con list for someone who has been either spec.

I've been all 3 for months/years at a time in PvP, mostly in BGs, some limited arena.
Firstly, all 3 are superb in Battlegrounds. If there was a hierarchy for BGs I'd put it at Resto>Feral>Moonkin, with Resto only ahead of Feral because your team is more likely to benefit more from a healer than another DPSer, and Moonkin last because you will have to fight harder to stay alive. However, Battlegrounds play to the strength of all druids - mobility. Being nearly unsnareable makes a huge difference to your survivability and all 3 specs have it. Ferals have the most raw speed but Restos have more defensive Cooldowns to blow while running. Moonkins with PvP spec (Brambles) can kite very well also, and ofc are at a larger advantage once at range.
In arenas:
- Resto does great in 2s. Very good in 3s. Not great in 5s.
- Feral does good in 2s (great with a disc priest), good in 3s (but will probably require some innovative comps), not sure about 5s
- Balance *can* do ok in 2s. It *can* also do ok in 3s (although you will need to invent solid tactics yourself, as the spec doesn't have the established knowledgebase available to other specs). Not great in 5s.
Biggest threats:
- Balance: Shadow Priests. Just run. if you didn't decide to run when they were out of range still, you will die anyways. It takes almost exactly zero skill for a shadow priest to kill a moonkin.
- Feral: not sure. DKs?
