Needless to say, Alli scum pick on my strategies very quickly...
But it's very worth watching them blow up and damaging them greatly before my Horde brotheren deliver the final 2 blows.
Fire spec is VERY underrated and I like it that way.
It makes us of this partucular spec the few, the proud, the fire.

3.3 addressed one of the two main issues: mana efficiency. Now if they'll just address survivability, Fire will actually be viable in (semi-serious) PvP. The mana cost reductions were great, don't get me wrong. But we're only about halfway there.
I used to be an Arcane "purist". I rolled my Mage after playing some Arcane PvP on the PTR, didn't look back until he was 80. (I actually leveld 10-80 as Arcane.)
But slowly, I started to warm up to the idea of Frost, and finally tried it for more than a couple games so that I could actually get the hang of it.
Now I can say that whenever I try out a different spec for PvP, I go in feeling...well, naked. Mages are so incredibly squishy when caught; survivability is key. There is simply no spell like Ice Barrier in either of the other two trees to make them competitive with Frost. So I am a convert.
But back to the topic at hand: Fire. Blazing Speed can be fun, and a lifesaver if it procs at the right time. The problem with any "clears movement impairing effects" ability is that when fighting a Rogue, Crippling Poison is back on you more or less instantly. Fiery Payback is basically a cruel joke. And that's about it. Oh, except for Impact. Thing is, you can get Impact with an Arcane PvP build (though most would agree that Icy Veins is preferable) which will be stronger in general for PvP.
