This is a copy paste of the post i placed on the first quest of the Shadowmourne questline, in which one must gather 25 primordial saronites for it. Ofc, this is all speculation, but it's always good to think ahead, am i right?

Just in case nobody made the math, if you wish to obtain all the primordial saronites by buying them with emblems of frost, you'll need the staggering amount of 575 (25 x 23) emblems.
Now, to calculate the rate of emblems:
Echoes of Tortured Souls +
Deliverance form the Pit +
Wrath of the Lich King = 6 emblems
One week of raiding, taking in acount that the only the first 4 bosses are avainable for the first 4 weeks and they each give only one emblem:
ICC - 4 emblems 10-man and 4 emblems 25-man
Weekly raid quest - 5 emblems
7 daily random heroic dungeons - 14 emblems
total - 27 emblems
4x27=108 + 6 = 114 so far.
Now, including the next month in which the "Plague Quarter" will be introduced in the next 2 weeks, then the other 2 wings for a total of 6 weeks, and assuming there are 8 bosses in all the wings.
ICC - 7 / 9 / 12 (double if you can do 10 and 25 man)
Rest is the same
4x7+4x9+12x4+19x6=226 emblems
So if We would face the Lich king and hipothetically defeat him on the week that he would be up, we would have a total of 340 badges, little less than half of what we need.
If by chance the boss in ICC give 2 emblems instead, it goes up to 468 emblems. We're almost there now.
If we go beyond that measure of time:
previous: 468 badges
per week: 48 (double badges from 10-man and 25-man) from ICC + 5 + 14 = 67
badges to get: 575 - 468 = 107
107 : 67 = 1.59
Just 2 more weeks of endlessely grinding and such, so ppl would be able to get the first step done in 3 months, if they are able to clear everything. If you think you cannot, add a month more for more effort, ending in a 4-month gathering of embelms.
