So after an experience at Roleplaying (which I liked, but gave up because grouping was usually a big problem) I decided I should try out a PvP Realm. I know this means I could get killed by the opposing faction anytime, which I dislike, but I still want to try. But before I begin, is there anything I should know, any special tips?

I've leveled on two different PVP servers, and honestly... I haven't experienced much PVP while leveling. And even then, it was usually me doing the ganking when I saw other similar leveled players. Most of the PVP I found was at max level around common areas like summoning stones and Wintergrasp.
I'm not sure if you've picked a server yet, but in my experience: If you choose to go Horde, Rivendare has a very PVE-like atmosphere to it. Horde greatly outnumber alliance, so running across one is rare. If you want a more population balanced server, Ner'zhul is fantastic for that.
Also, don't go Rogue just because you think you will be able to hide from someone. :p Most of the troublesome gankers are ones who are much higher level than you, so they will see you a mile away. Not too many people who are questing (and therefor should be around your level) will stop and camp you if they even decide to kill you at all.

I've only played on PvP servers and I've enjoyed it. Some things to note:
1. Be prepared to get ganked by higher leveled players. It happens. If it bothers you just remember you can gank back later on when you level up.
2. Find a guild with people that wouldn't mind teaming up to fight back at the gankers.
3. Stay alert. It's good you're playing a rogue since you can stealth and hide behind stuff. Remember though that high level players can see you in stealth even from a distance.
4. It might benefit you to do some research about the realm you are thinking of playing on to see which faction has the majority (or better quality PvPers).
5. Get a PvP trinket asap. When you are leveling there aren't many trinkets to be had till Outland anyways and it could save your butt if you have that PvP one.
