Has anyone else got this supposed "Newsletter" from newsletter@email.blizzard.com?
It claims that my account has been selected for 7 free days of Warcraft (Haven't played in well over a year, I think) for the 5th Anniversary festivities. It seemed suspicious at first because I've never heard of Blizz having a newsletter, but the amount of time put into this email is quite extraordinary. Graphics, text, and the like all put into it look like an official email, but the URL's, I don't recognize.

The email is full of those URL's, embedded in the graphics. I've gotten a good bit of phony emails, wanting me to give them account info and whatnot, but never one that embeds graphics and stuff in it. Is it legit?

Yeah, seems to be legit. I guess I can't be too suspicious, though - even though it started the email off knowing my first name. :P Thanks, Kryp.

I've said this a few times...
I honestly don't think the 7 days is worth it. Even if I was 99.99% certain it was legit, I still wouldn't take the chance. But I guess that's just me.
This case is a bit different though, since there really is a legitimate, 'Free 7 Days,' promotion out there that has been confirmed by Blizzard.

Not sure. I think I read somewhere that your account had to be inactive since either Oct of '08 or '09, can't remember which one. Mine has been inactive since August '08.
