I'm new to instances and raids. So I would like to ask what's the difference between a Heroic Dungeon bosses and Raid bosses? Please provide some details/info/examples if you can.
Thank You.

Heroic Dungeon Bosses are lvl 82, which is 2 levels above you, requiring less, 535 to be precise, Defence to be uncritable.
Raid bosses are boss lvl. ? or 'Skull'. Requiring 540 Defence to be uncritable.
Edit : Found the number for Heroic bosses. =D

Actually Raid boss level scales so that it is always three levels above you changing things like how much armor blocks off of them, however key stats (Like health and how much they hit) stay the same.

Can you guys give instances for each 1 for an example?

Uh... Any boss in a heroic is a good example of a heroic boss, whereas any boss in a raid is a good example of a raid boss?
Be more specific what you want an example of.
Going along with the level 82 versus level 83 thing, raids actually have a higher hit cap as well, but no one bothers only getting enough hit for heroics.

Well there's say
Amanitar
, a heroic boss (Level 82), and then there's
Algalon the Raid Destroyer, who will eat newborn children and drink their mothers tears.
(Not literally lore-wise), a Raid Boss level ? who's level scales with your own, and is always three levels above.

From what I know, ? Bosses have the same chance to Dodge/Parry/Hit as a mob 3 levels above you. Things like armor, health, and damage remain static.

For raid bosses that's true, since anything with a skull where its level should be is considered to be three levels above you, whatever your level is.

Oh I see. So heroic bosses will always be level 82? While raid bosses will always be level 83?
Then normal instance bosses will always be level 80?

Northrend 5man instances on normal mode range from ~71 to ~81 level bosses.
Northrend 5man instances on heroic mode have level 82 bosses.
All raid instances on any mode have ?-level bosses (they're treated as your level plus three for the purposes of things like hit and crit chance; damage does not scale though)
Actually, northrend 5-man normals scale from 67-81.
Keleseth
for example is lvl 67.
Better example for raid bosses.
Hakker THE SOULFLAYER!
is a lvl 60 raid boss, 719,550 HP, and still requires 540 defence to be uncrittable.
And Hakkar still is tough without killing other bosses..

This part is true, as long as we're only talking about Lich King heroics. As for normal bosses being level 80 - Nexus would be a bit hard for all those level 69's in mostly Outlands gear if the bosses were level 80, huh? Normal dungeon bosses depend on the level of the dungeon.
Edit: I believe this was my 1000th post.
Yay

This is how raid bosses work. If y= you and x= raid boss y+3=x. So yes, if you went up to a raid boss on a level one character (Hypothetically speaking, level ones couldn't enter a raid level instance) the boss would be level four. The Heroic Bosses (For level 80 heroics) will always be level 82, and the normal dungeon bosses will be anything.

Instances are designed for 5 man of the level corresponding to the instance (usually from starting level of the expansion to end level of the expansion, ie from ~70 to 80 in wotlk).
Heroic instances are designed for 5 man of the max level of the expansion (70 in BC, 80 in wotlk).
Raids are designed for 10/25 man of the max level of the expansion.
These three steps represent a ramp up in difficulty for the pve encounters : from instances to heroic instances encounters become more difficult, requiring better gear and performance (more dps, more healing, more health for the tank). This partly goes through the stat requirements that have been talked about in preceding posts. Encounters also become slightly more complex, bosses in heroics having additional abilities compared to the same boss in normal mode.
Raids are the last step, with 10 to 25 man teams (ie more roles allowing for more complex encounters, you'll often have more than one tank and several healers for example) and here again higher stats. Often, the mecanics of a raid boss will include several abilities that were already found on heroic bosses, ie heroics do prepare you to deal with raid encounters, except that you'll have to deal with several things at the same time.
