DPS wise... would you drop Alchemy for JC?

On my toon (sign) I'm currently 450 on both Alchemy and Engineering. 90% of my game time is dedicated to pure raiding, I rarely do heroics/dailies (no time for them and no fun at all... at least until 3.3 of course).
I leveled Engineering and left Herbalism because I did not need any more gold (and farming herbs is boring as hell). So far I have to say I love it: great gadgets, great utility and a good DPS (Pyro Rocket = free 40+ dps).
Alchemy was chosen because I was a herbalist and they worked good... until Frost Lotus prices went to th sky and Flasks dropped to the ground (don't ask me why). On my server a single Lotus gos for 45-60G. Flasks... wel, they sell for 27-30G maximum. Zero profit, it's very annoying.
Alchemy offers 2 nice bonuses: 2hrs. flask duration (no dps utility but reduced costs) and higher benefits (Endless Rage goes from 180AP to 260).
Now my question is: does it make sense to keep Alchemy for duration/bonuses only? I do not need money, I just want to get better "dps" benefits. What would I get from JC, apart from 3x34agi gems (a free bonus of +42 agi)?
Would you drop Alch and go with Jewelcrafting... or not?
Think in terms of DPS, leave profit apart.
Note: I don't care if I have to spend for Endless Rage flasks or any other combo (Agi+Int flasks, for example): if they are better (considering Alchemy bonuses) compared to JC bonuses... I'll stick with Alchemy.

I would drop Alch for JC, your DPS will greatly increase when you start gemming
Delicate Dragon's Eye
. Also JC will gain you a lot of money.
BUT
, DPS wise, it's a GGWIN. And if you are a MM Hunter as well, so if you do gem Armor Pen, it will help you get to the cap faster so you can start gemming Agility.
The +42 agility bonus will benefit you more than the AP bonus from your Flask Mastery, judging by your gear, you should have about 6.8k-7k AP buffed in 25 man raids which is good enough for you as a MM Hunter considering that you hit hard enough already (and since you do not gem ArP the gems will help you more than the AP bonus from the flask bonus from Flask Mastery).
I personally would drop Alch for JC any day, but I'm a lazy Hunter :P.
Your DPS will increase from the +42 agil, and you will see that increase if you replace the Dragon's Eye with the gems that you currently have, I see that you are gemming +20 Crit and +10 Agil + 15 Stam, and +10 agil and + 10 Crit, I see you are trying to match those socket bonuses, don't try to do that, once you get your Dragon's Eye replace those gems because you are just lessening your DPS by trying to match those sockets.
EDIT:
Since you are talking about raising your DPS, I have another suggestion, on your
Boots of Living Scale
you enchanted them with
Nitro Boosts
, that is great for PvP but you will benefit more from
Enchant Boots - Superior Agility
for PvE DPS.

@ Elephants: 24 Crit from the Nitro Boots > 16 Agility. at 5K dps base, 16 agility is worth about 18 DPS for SV; 24 Crit is worth about 26.
This. Nitro boost is also very good for "CRAP!" situations where you have to either move away (flee/avoid something) or reach something/someone fast (example: poisoned from Acid worm in TOC you have to immediately get the fire debuff from tank).

I have used Nitro Boosts before and I really do not like them, I found out that I did in fact manage higher DPS without them because the Agil offered more, but if it works for you, cool beans, I thought I would throw in my two cents. :D

Where do those "5k DPS base" numbers come from?
In my SV spec, 24 crit = 24*.977 =
23.45 DPS
while 16 agi = 16*1.610 =
25.76 DPS
The crit is better for my MM spec though. 32.30 DPS for the crit vs 25.74 for agility.
