Hey, me and a freind just started doing some 2v2 as arms warrior/holy pally, and considering both of us didnt have the greatest gear we did pretty well 0-524 rating in around 1 1/2 hours or so.
But when we faught teams that had mages in them we had real problems taking them down, even when the players were shockingly bad, we still couldnt do it. I was wondering if there were any tips I could use (im the warrior ofc) in these situations where the opposition has a lot of control in their setup.
Any help appreciated, thanks.

ye thanks, we were mainly doing these things anyways, didnt realise shattering throw broke iceblock aswell, should use that from now on.
Ill get my pally to make that macro but in arena's he has been helping a lot (he has a joke in trying to steal the killing blows) and stuns when i ask him so we can nuke down a healer.
The main problem with your 2nd point is that they have so many ways of slowing/snaring me that trinket and HoF get used quite quickly and then im left stranded. Especially when there are 2 frost mages.

and as a warrior anything you can do to mess up mana burns and the like will help your pally since without a healer a warrior against 90% of classes will usually be killed fairly quickly. i run shaman warrior and my warrior has 32k hp ( we always joke that hes in decent prot gear even though hes arms) and a mage with 5k hp can snare the crap out of him.
if its mage priest make sure that they are not sheeping and mana burning as your pally will be oom and a smart mage can do that all day and reset the dr with frost nova.

Depends on the setup your facing, if its rogue/mage your going to want to kill the rogue, which is really easy as a warrior.
Another popular comp is priest/mage. You running with a holy paladin makes this fight trivial, you can get a kill on either the priest or the mage.
If your going for a kill on the mage your going to want to OOM the mage, the priest doesnt matter, once the mage is OOM though he can't kite you and you will be able to pump full damage into him, and a warrior free hitting a mage is impossible to heal.
Your pally should be giving you freedoms when you can, and Im surprised no one mentioned the 2nd biggest thing, HE CAN DISPEL YOU, dispel novas on you, and freedom the frostbolt snares. Its really easy

Priest + mage is really tough. It's actually easier to kill the priest than the mage.
Keep in mind. Priest has a dispel that eats 2 buffs, and the mage has spell steal that takes 1. The warrior will not have any buffs up to protect HoF. They will dispell it quickly.
The key to using HoF the best. Watch the mage, make sure he does NOT have Fingers of Frost proc. Otherwise your freedom WILL be wasted if the mage is any good.
With a holy paladin, you can expect to be nuked while your pally is CC'd. It's fact. this is why you probably want to nuke the priest. If you can get an MS and debuff him with overpower while he's at 50% or less, Bladestorm and hope to god he dies. The priest will be trying to LoS you away from your paladin, but the bigger issue is they will CC the crap out of your paladin.
You need to chase the priest and hope the mage has LoS issues. Fear the adds and mage off if they catch up to you. This reduces the mage's burst significantly when he's hoping for a nuke. When, not if, when you first get the priest to 50% and burst his bubble, he needs to be stunned by your paladin. You want him to pop pain suppression and trinket here. Keep debuffing him, he has to heal now, so you need to get MS and OP on him consistantly. If you can keep him low, and his pain suppression dies, refresh MS and hamstring get an overpower up before he gets any good heals off, and BS his azz for a kill. You can even pop into zerker, and pummel his next heal while getting recklessness up for a few crits in a row.
This is tougher with a paladin than with a resto druid. I have my resto druid chain CC the mage while I force the priest into major defensive. The priest usually has to pop pain suppression pretty quickly. If I have free range on a priest, he will die. They can't handle warrior dps because of all the debuffs we have and the fact that him fearing us means he's about to get stunned(rage>intercept). He can only trinket hamstring, making cyclones and bladestorms very benefitial. The mage has to control me or I will kill his priest. Meanwhile my resto druid is kiting him like crazy, so he can't really get a kill on my healer either and he can't CC a resto druid like he can a paladin.
With a paladin, expect to have to go defensive a LOT. The priest/mage will control the fight, so you have to be ready to go defensive and you have to do a TON of burst on the priest. If it turns into a long fight with you in defensive a lot, make sure you get 5 sunders up on the priest and try to keep it up while playing defensively. Also use shield slam a lot to try to get the priests buffs off.
LoS and Piercing howl on the mage will be your best friend.
I hope this helps. =)
