So, I'm thinking of writing a book...

...and I want your help!
What plot would you find more interesting:
A fictional novel about Harold Tarter. Harold is a lonely business executive who is only interested in professional sports and keeping his car clean. He is abducted by a serial killer and forced to assist in the murders. He is faced with many philosophical problems concerning the value of human life.
A fictional novel about a woman suffering from dimentia as she invents time travel. The book is written from her perspective. As she time travels, the effects are devastating on to the world around her. However, it more accurately reflects her hallucinations. Eventually, she and the world around her are caught in an infinite time loop.
A fictional novel about a man suffering increasingly painful emotional and physical situations. His greatest nightmares become more and more of a reality. Eventually, he finds out that he was never even born, and his nightmarish world is brought about by the fact that he is being aborted.

This.
If it were me, I'd write it in 3rd person but reveal at the end that it's actually the guy himself writing it.
Ooh, you've got me started. You'd better hurry up before I can't help but steal your idea xD

I edited the main charachter of that book to make 'him' a 'her', already. And, stay away from my ideas!

I'd go with the first one. The second idea sounds really good, but it'd be really hard to write I could imagine, and the third one sounds interesting as well, although personally a bit too dark for my tastes. The first idea is probably the best though, because its dark enough but it has room for some lighter moments, and it'd have moments where you could really consider what's going on.

I do not approve of the third one and I think it is...well...I'll leave this to my better judgment and simply say, I do not approve of the third one.
Literature and approval have nothing to do with each other. In fact, they are most often at odds when dealing with the great works.
but if she was writing this book, and the world was in a time loop, how did she write it?
That's the beauty of surreal fiction. You don't have to say how or why.

Ooh ooh, epic idea!
What if the book (second idea) was written by the autistic main character when she was a girl (before it all started happening)...
My brain's tying itself in a knot, thinking that through.

I didn't say she wrote the book, but that the book would be written from her perspective. When she looks around the room, the room is presented as she would see it. All her hallucinations would be written as fact. It would make the effects of her time traveling indistinguishable from her dimentia. Is she really destroying the world or does she just think that she is? Is that her talking to herself in the past or is she just seeing that? Is she even time traveling? Did she just kill herself?

Oh I never said you were / she was doing anything. I'm just throwing out things that you inspired me about. I can't help but run with ideas that are presented to me.

Sounds like all the more reason to write it.

I'd love to read a well done infinite loop.

...but would a reader really like to read something that ends in an infinite time loop?
Yes.
The last chapter would look remarkably like the first, only from a slightly different perspective. The last paragraph of the book would be identical to the first.

If you could pull off writing the first chapter in a way that it could be completely reversed in the final chapter concept by concept, I would so have your kids...
...oh wait

Please don't quote me! I accidentally posted it after trying to hit "return to board index" when I realized I wasn't going to be able to say it how I was thinking it.
