Im not very knowledgable on pvp, but Demonic Aegis also affects Demon Armor, thus increasing the armor contributed by 630, and increasing the healing done to you by an additional 6%, totalling at 2730 armor and 26% increase on healing done. I don't know how much this adds to the value of picking the talent up, just a small observation on my part.

Was reading another post, and saw this link to the stickies. Once more, stickies ftw

The reason that you take Demonic Aegis talent is because the cookie cutter 17/54 assumes that you are using the voidwalker as your pet of choice.
I'm sure a PvP expert will be able to help you out some more, thats all I got.

Spell power is golden. Therefore we take demonic aegis. if you have to have isuccy then take the points out of soul leech, or destructive reach +1 from somewhere else.

^ this ^ can and will happen.
What set up are you running in 2v2s and 3v3?
As the warlock you are the kill target for every viable comp we can be in, you should be in Demo armor a lot when you are getting trained. Not so much for the +armor but for the +heals. When you and your team mates are in good position to burst, throw up Fel armor.
We warlock must switch pets and armor to adjust to the situation.
The talent is mostly there for the +6% healing. That gives you an edge if you find your team in a healer mana race.
If you are only doing 2v2s and are in a double DPS comp, it still helps with your burst.

Look at arenajunkies, Most cleave team tactics when facing a team with a lock in it is "sit on the lock" or "pressers the lock so he can't cast" or "DPS the <insert DPS Class> down to 70%, then hard switch to the lock and blow offensive CDs"
Most setups cc mages to stop shatter combos when facing Wizcleave with a Frost mage and do switchs between the Lock and Shaman. Though many teams with Hunters can effectively stay on mages.
WLD in we locks place our Demo Circle in a location that out healer can reach. Most people will try to LoS a Destro lock and pull the Warrior away for his healer. this makes your Druid move to the warrior and away form your Portal. If your Warrior under stands how to intervene back to his druid the other team will not down him as easy as they can down you. Attacking a Druid is asking to play the pillar hump run around bonanza game until the next arena season. That leaves the the lock as a kill target until your portal is of CD.
I was not trying to imply that as a lock you are the only one trained. Yet, on my pvp lock and on my resto druid most tactics I have see are based pressuring us locks to slow our cc and burst. Leaving a warlock free to cast is all most an auto loss and may still be even after conflag's nerf next patch.
But still, Switching armor is needed when getting trained.
